Hello Fax fans, as a long serving Halifax Town fan I would like to let you all know that the majority of us are either passive or well-wishing of the success of HRLFC.

I have in the last couple of years started following Fax the odd time and have to say witnessed some of the most exciting live sport moments I can remember (especially at Castleford last season!)
Hopefully with your continued success a few more footy fans will give it a go, and hopefully this can work both ways with FCHT's progress on the pitch.

With the new stand about to open the future looks bright for both clubs, and this progress will only be sped up with a good relationship between both clubs fans and directors.

Good luck for this season. Forget about the wind up merchants on the courier site and on the Halifax Town forum- they are the minority

Would be good if all sport 'fans' in halifax felt that way and i am sure that the majority do, but unfortunately there is always a small minority in both camps that air their grudges long and loud which prevents the barriers from being removed.

The only way to make pro sport a success in Hailfax is to combine efforts and make both clubs a success, but the idiot minority are the ones that will prevent this from happening and we shall forever struggle to reach new heights.

Success for both clubs would be good for each other and the petty jealousies that are banded between the two sides can only be counter productive towards reaching these goals.

Not a football fan or a town fan but if working together is for the good of our teams, lets stop being immatureand grin and bare it

spot on guys. i think eventually the friction will simmer, especially if fax get back into super league in the near future- if this was the case im sure nearly all town fans would be happy to claim their liking for the fax. A decent working relationship would only boost the attendances of both clubs, especially in periods of success

need both teams doing well and being together on projects for the shay.

As an ' outsider' and a follower of both teams. I have never got my head around the animosity from BOTH sets of fans. Even in the pre shay era for Fax.

The football supporters club and the Fax Trust are having a joint quiz night in April, more details later.

The Supporters Trusts of the two clubs enjoyed a very good relationship in the early years of the rugby trust. This led to a joint approach on the stadium which kept the issue alive and led to the formation of the stadium trust. Had that not happened I doubt if we would now be talking about the East Stand opening. The clubs need each other.

Well said. Unfortunately in this world it is always the minority that cause the majority of problems. It doesnt help when the Courier publish letters that arent always factual and just stir things up again.

Not bothered what happens to the Soccer team. If they go bust or win the F.A Cup it would not bother me personally. However we can put up with one another without the need to cause problems, as that is stupid and achieves nothing. Let each team get on with what they are doing and the fans get behind one or both teams rather than point scoring that has been going on. As for the Worrier just ignore it as most of what they put in that rag is either wrong or out of date!
