Cant believe the referees in this league are a complete joke I dont know how they get away with it to be honest is it some sort of sick joke? against fev and windes twice now weve been robbed and against sheffield dont know what that guy gets paid by rfl but surely got extra from their coach
has laughton been banned or fined yet i dont think so he is a disgrace i work hard for my money for these baboons to go ruin it for me

Laighton was bad on tv the other night, i dont think its just them though, some of the assistants/touch judges are appalling, inconsistent, either they dont get involved or get involved in token gesture petty flag waving. Im not sure they have a coherant understanding of what they are there for, i could put my flag up when the ball goes into touch, so could most of the crowd. I watched the ref on Friday, he only looked one way across the vikings defensive line, the linesman did nothing to help him either.
Too late to change the past now, but they definitely need to sort it out.

Leahy must have eyes in his ears because he was not looking down the line at any play the balls.

Good tip for any teams that get him in the near future, don't bother with getting back 10, coz he doesn't!

I think Fax just need to learn to get on with playing their own game, They were frustrated by the ref's dcisions on Friday and they lost focus on the game they were in. They have to learn to accept the decisions and beat him as well as the opposition if they have to.

Yes he missed the off-sides, yes he didn't pick up on the ripping out in the tackles, yes Widnes did lay on for longer in the tackle, yes he seemed to favour Widnes, yes to whatever else we think he got wrong. We seem to come on every week and moan about the refs, but so do most teams' supporters. They are not perfect and they do get things wrong, but we have to learn to play around the current feeling and get back to the matter in hand.....3 points each week and a Grand Final win to round things off.

This team has proven itself capable of beating anyone in our league, now lets get back to that position.

The ref was poor for both sides on Friday simple as. To say you were robbed when both sides suffered on the back of poor decisions isn't exactly right. When we didn't get the rub of the green though we muscled up and got our heads down, rather than crying to the ref and stamping our feet like Said Tamghart.

What robbed you was your pack's lack of discipline and controlled aggression. One or two of your star forwards need to take a good look at themselves and ask the question, are they really tough enough?? You were mauled good and proper by a team who set about you with a very tight game plan for which you had no answer and it was evident as they game went on their composure went out of the window and frustration set in.

Your team tried to force the play on way too many occasions and appeared to have no plan b to counter us. Perhaps Calland has been found out and needs a radical overhaul of his tactics?

I don't think any true Fax fan could deny that fact. Whether it was all down to Widnes and their tactics is what us Fax fans will analyse or did we let ourselves down badly on the night for whatever reason.

If it was opposition tactics and we don't adapt then we are in trouble because every other team will watch the tape and play the same way. If it is of our own making then MC needs to get a grip on the squad and turn their minds around and back to focussing on the rugby.

Calland needs to find some answers, im sure he didnt tell them to go out and play rank and argue with the ref.
Said is worrying me since France, in his interview after the Toulouse match he never mentioned the team or the game, only his own ambition, i think he might be petulant at the minute. He ran off the pitch after Fev too, he needs to calm down. I think he may spit his dummy out and leave us at the end of the year.

Ill go back to something as simple as our attacking line, i was taught as a kid to run onto the ball, surely MC and Mh can see completing sets is easier when your not running across the line like headless chickens firing wet balls at people with defenders round you on tackles 1-2-3.

We are rudderless lately with the exception of Toulouse, and its the coaches job to fix it.

The players and MC lost the game not the referee. Referee made some mistakes but picking players clearly not fir and failing to catch a ball even from tap penalties and poor defending is not the doing of Leahy or the TJs. Yes the officials are not that great but to blame the defeat at Sheffield, Fev and Widnes on them is pure stupidity and childish. The only game a Ref was very bad was the Semi against Widnes and even then we fecked up by ben dropping the ball that if he had scored would have likely seen us win. Its the players and coaching staff that need to improve more than the officials at the moment!

But a few people come out with similar stuff mate not just this idiot. We have to learn HOW to use the Ref to our advantage. Blasting him like Said did is wrong. We have to work out how to win games ourselves-not just constantly blame the ref. He is imperfect and will make mistakes. However our players and coaching staff need to look at how to build pressure and what happens if Plan A is not working. Fans need to stop blaming the Ref because we lost but look at our own errors-and thats what costs us games more than Refs.

For build pressure see - get a stand off with a clever kicking game so we don't have to run the ball all the time

how many 40/20s did holroyd kick when he was here, how many have we kicked this season.?

Holroyd was a great goal kicker but i think this season our kicking has been better overall we just dont do it enough,we persist with chips over the top too much. i will admit holroyds attacking kicks were much better but as for his place kicking was it that much better.

He wasn't as good as some make out.

It's not about Holdroyd, it's about varying how you play and giving people a breather whilst making it hard for teams to get out of their own half. Not every kick should be a 40-20 but if the team know a good kick is coming they will hold the ball better, a kick follows and the oppostion receive the ball deeper in their own half, making their job harder. That's how you build pressure, not by running the ball like maniacs, forcing passes and dropping the ball in your own half, giving opposition penalties and field postition
