how refreshing it is to see it finally getting completed its seems to have been a building site for a long time and now to finally see it changing week from week it finally seems like things are moving along quite quickly now.

Away fans will really struggle to think of amusing chants once the stand is finished. Widnes and Leigh both put a lot of effort into their chants of how we only have 3 stands etc etc.

Just seen the undated pictures of the new stand, things are definately progressing quickly. Its good to see the pictures cos most of the work now is done behind the stand so the webcam doesnt pick it up.
I dont think things have every been as good for us Fax Fans, everything that is surrounding the club is positive and long may it continue.
When the stand is finally completed i am sure it will be more attractive to the supporters who are currently sitting on the fence, along with the corporate/sponsorship. the club can sell itself better.

The stewards should move them along and make them either sit in the skircoat stand or stand in the south stand....

from where i stand at the front of the south stand it doesnt appear we can cramb any more people in the south stan. apart from maybe down the edges.

On a serious note. I sit in the Skircoat stand and I am really looking forward to going into the new stand, so that I can have un-interupted viewing. Its an absolute pain when they play behind one of the posts...

I would also hope, like you, that those who are teetering on the edge of coming back will be more tempted when they have a new stand to sit in.

I heard that once it is open they will be closing the skircoat stand, for future re-furbishment, or so they dont have to employ any more stewards (both make good sense)

I sit in the skircoat and the posts are a pain, cant wait to sit in the new stand, but will have to get some sunglasses or ask for a high seat so out of the sun, which will prob be a pain.

But if its allowed to fall into a state of disrepair it may not be issued a safety certificate to reopen it.

It could be a fair while before the Skircoat is needed again.

why does the skircoat need redeveloping?! your missin me on that 1 pal....fully seated, fully covered, more seats in there than prob at wakey and cas at minute!lol

admit, maybe freshen up the toilets abit, but thats hardly an overhaul!
much rather go to watch a game at the shay(especially wen it is FINALLY finished!) than in the plastic stadia at widnes/leigh

The Skircoat stand needs seats replacing, re-roofing (IMO) without the supporting pillars the obstruct your view, improved access and platforms for wheelchair-bound supporters.

I thought wheelchair access and positioning was being moved to the new stand?

As for the pillars, they need to go, but not exactly a priority at this time. Plus it's taken this long to finish a stand. In Calderdale there would be at least 100 council meetings before agreeing what beverage to be had for the main meeting.
