Calland is even not man enough to come and talk on BBC Radio Leeds, left it to Bally !!

Bally was really honest and deserves a pat on the back for saying what he did !!

Bally basically said that they team are lacking team spirit,no confidence, both these areas are down to Calland to get sorted, what did we do in pre season and what about the week away " team bonding "" !!

To be honest I think the week away warm weather team bonding was at the wrong time of the year and they should have gone pre- season not when it had started. There was disruption over some players who were not able to go on the trip being left out at the next match, just never thought it was a good idea.

Could be the first team to pass a franchese application and get relegated in the same season.

Oh ye of little faith! I hope Matt & the team don't read the tripe posted on here, I've never seen Calland or one of our players take a backward step when it's needed and it's pathetic to suggest other wise. I certainly hope he had better things to do after the game than talk to the radio; maybe he's following the greatest rugby league coach of all time's example and never talking to the media again...

Calland took a pay cut to stay with us after winning the Grand Final and didn't even listen when other clubs came knocking; do you really think all the other players would have stayed if he wasn't there?

Open your eyes and see the struggle that our club has behind and ahead of it. Bite your lips on the bad days and think before you put into print these infantile reactions. SUPPORT YOUR CLUB AND BE THE 14TH MAN ON THE PITCH. Remember what happened at Warrington when we were all together behind the sticks urging Ben on as one? It works! Hang on in there people (and Matt), we're in for another roller coaster of a season and I can't f*@!ing wait.

COME ON THE FAX

Whilst I'm extremely unhappy at the result and the way we performed, (apparently), I think that saying MC running away is a bit of a stretch of the imagination. It is part of DB's job to front up to the press if MC is unavailable. I bet he was unavailable because he was in the shed giving the team a few choice words, and it's a good chance that he couldn't trust himself to be civil on the radio without being fined for saying something he shouldn't. I don't doubt that MC feels just as let down as we are, if not more, but to imply he is running away....

Perhaps MC wanted to hold his comments back till he can do it behind closed doors with the squad at the next training session

Its rare to see Coaches stay more than 4 or 5 years at a club. Matt is getting to that stage. You cant knock what he has achieved. But when you hear what Bally said on the radio then you have to worry and wonder what is going on. You also have to wonder at some of the strange decisions having been made especially in Team Selection and some of the players signed. Matt will have his reasons for not speaking on the radio-likely he was busy with the team. But he also needs to understand that people will expect him to say things to the press. Its not easy being a Coach and certainly one at a team like Fax. The pressure is there for us to compete for trophy even if we do not win one.

I support Fax and have given a lot of money to the club. I may not make most games, but that does not stop me helping the club when I can. I have tried to help the Club this year with the U23s. I have given things to the club to Raffle off as well as sending Cash over. But I as a fan who sends money over to help the club, should be allowed to express my opinions on a public forum. If I am not happy with the way things are, why cant I say on here? We all have various opinions-sometimes they are rubbish, Sometimes misjudged etc. I support my club as best I can as does likely every other Fax fan on here

The thing that concerns me the most is is the fact that with the squad we now have, particularly up front, 'turning things around' doesn't seem as straightforward as has been the case in previous spells of bad form

I'm sure you'll turn things round - you don't become a bad team overnight but it appears that confidence is low and Calland will be on borrowed time if results continue.

I doubt very much Calland is running away, its normal for Bally to do these interviews, as he has done several times in the past. The point regarding turning things around though does worry me. The fixture list doesn't exactly look that kind at the minute, with Leigh, Widnes and then potentially a tough game against Dewsbury on Easter Monday coming up. The main gripe at the minute is team selection. Calland needs to decide on a squad of say 19/20 players and stick by these for the next 5/6 games. We cant keep changing 5/6 players each game, and these changes are not exactly just slot in changes if you like e.g. changing a prop & 2nd rower. We're changing SO / SH combo's every game, full back, 13 etc, we need a settled team as of now..

come on fax fans, believe it or not your team are not invincible and will inevitably have their downs, youve experienced the ups in recent seasons. these things happen. you take the rough with the smooth. you havent become jizz over night.
im sure you will come good.
have a look at a book, its called 'The Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy' it says 'DONT PANIC!' on the front, sound advise.
