Sunday sees the visit of The Bulldogs to The Shay and it's looking like the sun will be shining as Fax attempt to make it two from two at home. We hopefully will have Grady and/or Butler among others back for a game in which we can hopefully gain some momentum for the season ahead. I think we can get the two points and will go for Fax 36v12 Batley. Up The Fax!

Feeling a bit more confident this week and expect the lads to kick on from 7 days ago.
I expect the early forward exchanges to be head on and hope Fax can get on top after that and have a bit more finishing power to get some points on the board.

The best team lost today, no question. Fax were awful and if we carry on like that it's arrivederci Marshall and that isn't a knee jerk reaction. Up The Fax!

Im not sure what our fans expect with the budget we have.

It's not the fans voicing their concerns.... Also a near £450k budget is by far the biggest budget RM has had since he started... You seen the club move forward on the field in his 5 years here cos I ain't....Today proved that

Today was awful and full credit to Batley for making it hard for us.

However, I fail to see how RM is responsible for the inability of some of our players to do the basics properly such as playing the ball correctly, hanging on to the ball, and not giving away the dumbest of penalties.

Or are you really saying that all of these things are coached instructions?

In amongst some poor performers today, credit to Will Sharp who was single handedly awsome

Defended well in the first 40 and took our chances well.
Second 40, well we hardly had a look in.
The first 6 minutes of the second half the inside left defense let 2 identical tries in giving Batley a sniff of victory, that followed by a glut of penalties and they almost got it.
As TH says Sharp especially took the dangerous high kicks well on our line and along with the other backs ran the ball out well, other than that just relieved to get the 2 points.
