It's not that often that I come on the Fans forum . . .always worried that I'll come across something that makes my blood boil! just joking,. . I think!

Anyway can I, on behalf of all the Directors Players and staff of Halifax RLFC wish all of our fans a really Happy Christmas and Prosperous New Year. I hope that for all of us that 2012 is a much better year than 2011 seems to have been for many

Obviously we're hoping that 2012 will prove to be hugely successful on the field for us starting with the game against Keighley on Boxing Day, where I understand that Keighley will be beating us by 20 clear points! I can assure you that our Super League bid was by no means as bad as Gary Fawcett seems to indicate in his pre Christmas message to Keighley fans, and that we shall be doing our best to make him swallow on the 20 points quote!

It seems that many teams in our division have put together good squads, so theres bound to be some good rugby to watch and hopefully we can persuade more of you to come along to games and shout us on as its obviously going to be harder to catch us on TV.

Anyway, Hope to see loads of you down at the Shay on Boxing Day . . its not that long ago that Boxing Day League games drew huge attendances as we all got out for some post Christmas fresh air. . . and as for New Year resolutions. .how about all of us getting behind Karl and his players and lets make 2012 a year to remember for Fax

Oh and Ref' the franchise bid he only said that too me and lad, afta is speach/predictions not to all present (Although that woz probally cos e forgot t), he did say to everyone you'd been asking him for advice on how to get sponsorship though

In my case MBE would probably stand for Most Boring Employee

And in Malcs case VC obviously stands for Very Cross
and DSO would stand for what we say to Malc every time he hears a rumour about a new signing . . . "Dont Say Owt"!

Well no doubt the club has made mistakes including the SL application. But the fact remains that without people like Mike Riley, Michael Steele and Mal and others, the club likely wouldnt have survived. Often these people do work that nobody will ever know or see about and they will do it for nothing. I am happy where Fax are- a Top Championship Club that reaches Finals, Has a decent Stadium and is not in financial debt unlike some SL Clubs. Keep up the good work everybody at Halifax RLFC and keep going as your work is appreciated even though being human you do make mistakes. For those that want to criticize then maybe you could offer your support in someway. Maybe its better that we stay out of SL and play at a level on and off the field that is more rewarding and watch a way more entertaining game than what the SL comp is. Happy Christmas all

Same goes for Malcolm, although I think in his case DSO stands for D**k Shot Off.
