You're not the only one thinking that way old boy !!! It's a bag o balls for we shift workers AND it's during the local holiday period again. Well, a well known ex Fax coach has just posted something on the Fev Rovers FB page relating to a money issue so maybe they're not so flush anyway 
Big shame I can't make yet another home game and a drink with my Fev buddies but i'm sure the lads will manage without me showing 'em how to sup as usual, maybe we'll get the chance in the GF at Leigh he thinks optimistically.....

Wonderful. Fax's biggest game of the season ruined - with a 30 x £10 subscription "reward".
Wish they'd rush through the changes in the game because this league is being strangled by crap deals like this.

That is exactly what stopped me buying season tickets for me and mine when the Thursday screening started a few years ago, I just can't get to the games and by the numbers that turn up i'm clearly not the only one.
Someone from the RFL must wake up to the fact that the clubs need all the revenue they can get and the effects of any TV deals must be thought through.
Is there anything the clubs can do to stop this happening should they so wish to do so or is it forced upon them. |

Lesson to be learned - Championship Chairmen have to stand together united. They don't seem to have the will to do this and as long as it continues the RFL will continue to negotiate dreadful deals like this one. It's up to them to take a stance.

I've asked the RFL on twitter the following:
"@TheRFL Good morning. Please can someone explain the benefit of the PremierTV deal to Championship Clubs? What is the benefit, financial or otherwise of having to switch THE main tie of the season from Sunday to Thursday?".
I'm looking forward to a "lightbulb moment" response.

The reason given by Premier sports as to why there was no Thursday game the other week is that Whitehaven, who were scheduled, refused to travel on a Thursday. So it seems some clubs can say no. We should say no to this one as it costs too much.
