Will it be a good Friday? There's a chance to see London v York on the tv today and see what we are up against. Before the Batley game I would have been confident of starting our league campaign on a high but not so sure now. Well after yesterday's result, there my be a faint glimmer of hope shining through especially with Worthington, Hewitt, Bourouh and Kavanagh now in contention. I'll certainly be watching, let's hope it's not another false start. Fax by 8.

London looked very solid defensively but created next to nowt going forward. That said they had their first choice half backs missing so we'll see what sort of team they have out on Friday. Hopefully Fax will be at or near full strength and we can get the season off to a flyer but...London by eight, hope I'm wrong. Up The Fax!

I notice our website says 3:00 ko the same as Londons however, Our League says 5:00. Does anyone what time the game actually is?

watching the game yesterday i nearly fell asleep it was really poor but london did have about 5 players missing if they all return they should be a fair bit stronger i think halifax should win this one by 2 to 3 scores 28-12 to fax we need to improve a lot our selves on the batley performance and hopefully our coach will pick our best fullback at fullback in woodburn hall not his brother but i wouldnt hold my breath

Personally not sure what Grix did wrong. Against Batley he was our stand out back for me, the only one who could beat a man.

batleys second try from the high kick he was nowhere near by the time salty saw what was happening it was too late to stop the batley player from catching the ball and they scored i think he as been a very poor signing after watching him on loan we should have never of signed him on a perminent deal but thats brotherly love for you

Reserving judgement on this one. I thought we were in with a real chance of going 3 wins from 3 to start the league but I saw nothing in the Batley game that suggests we could win any of our first 3. Hopefully with the players back it adds a bit of size to our pack and with Bourough in the team it does look like we have a hooker who can actually make a difference off the bench.

Well if you believe what you read on't London forum we should walk this one. They seem to be low on players already and don't rate their chances much. We'll see on Friday what the two teams look like. Up The Fax!

Completely torn down the middle with this one like never before to be honest, I really don't know what to expect.

Part of me keeps expecting us turn up and put on a really good performance and get the result.

The other half thinks we may just as easily not turn up and we put on another poor performance and we get turned over again.

Let's hope it's the former.

Early days but the coach needs to start showing what he brings to the party. His record so far isn't encouraging .

My main concern for Friday is the form and lack of strength in depth in the backs from 1 -7. It will be good to see how Worthington goes and my preference would be for Rawnsley and Saltonstall on the wings - while Salty probably had his worst game for a long time against Batley I feel he offers more bringing the ball out from the back and is more reliable defensively than Mcgrath. Woodburn-Hall probably be the best bet for the other centre - full-back and the halves pick themselves due to either a lack of cover or unwillingness to change. With the two loanees involved we have a potentially excellent pack with reasonable cover for injuries/lack of form - they need to ensure on Friday the effort is their to turn that potential into reality - if they do I think we've a great chance of getting a win.
