At the season's start we would have looked at this game as a home banker. With our performances as the season unfolded I would have been happy to just get the two points from it. Now after the change of coach and seeing the lads at Sheffield last Sunday i'm a lot more optimistic. Would agree, we need to win this one in style and get some points back as our difference is appalling. Hopefully the new coach bounce will continue, we looked good last week against a tough team so Up the Fax and a win by 20 would be good.

Cmon Pete, calm down, Fax have had some bad results recently,and after a good one at Sheff you are now ready to march on Poland.Last weeks result could be the result of Grix taking over.

Definitely not Ian. We've been awful all season and I keep hoping we've turned the corner. As far as the coach goes I think Simon would be a case of Fax going for the easy option once again. I personally would like to see a coach without Fax connections coming in and preferably not a forward. Chris Thorman fits the bill for me. We won't be at Blackers, I don't particularly believe in the Summer Bash concept as it skews the league. On top of that it's a hole. I know you don't agree with that though. See you at Leigh. Pete.

I was correct over Easter, I tipped Fax to lose both games and I tipped Leigh to win one and lose one, however I am tipping a Fax win by around 16 points on Sunday.The season is boiling up nicely now, take Toronto out of the equation and all other places are up for grabs.

We at Leigh can go third at the week end , if we beat Sheff at the LSV , and Toronto beat the Bulls, I’m tipping Leigh by 10, and Toronto by 20,great sporting week end as well, it’s the 1000 Guineas ,and 2000 Guineas at Newmarket that’s Horse racing, my second sport, and England warm up at cricket for the World Cup,love summer.

I’m also tipping Fax to lose their next 4 games after the Barrow win of course, so that should please my Fax friends, and Fax won’t make the top 5 .As for ourselves, I’ve heard Derek could be dusting off his cheque book .Charlie knows.

Lokks like same team as last week-which is fair enough-although was hoping to see our new addition feature somewhere..

This was the first game I have seen since Grix took over. What a difference the team look. They are running harder, back each others up and seem to be playing for each other. Murrell in the middle looks great as he is directing all play around the field. Our forwards (and backs) seem to be running And tacking harder and backing each other up. As always some daft play and very daft penalties. I know Barrow are struggling but that was a good performance

1 post (sorry, 2 including mine) on the Barrow game post match. Time to put this sorry BB to bed with its resident moaning posters (me excluded). Maybe the lack of postings is because we won? PMSL.

Or maybe they were out on't ale enjoying the holiday Sunday? For me that was a good improved performance again. Whilst not as good as the Sheffield game, Barrow are a poor team at the moment, we are showing signs of getting back to where we need to be. Some good tries and defence but we still need to cut out the daft penalties but we are on't right horse. Up The Fax!

The backs were our main carriers before, now as well the pack took the ball in harder and added some much needed grunt in defense.

In addition, yesterday the halves instead of just the previous two steps forward and pass play added the direct approach running at the line a lot more and both they and Fax look a lot better because of it which has resulted in some good go forward.

In this system Muzza looked a lot more mobile and White looked faster breaking the line a couple of times and they both showed a good pair of hands and found the pass and there were some good tries scored yesterday on the back of it.

Overall a good performance in attack and defense with both Barrow tries coming from dropped ball with just the first 15 minute period of the second half where they lost the plot and it got scrappy to have a look at.

Brandon Moore tore Barrow apart in the first half. It was nice to see the halfbacks playing with a new style - just a shame the ball didn't get out to the wings much.
