A lot of speculation about this but the bottom line his.... Thanks Malc for all your hard work and dedication, enjoy what ever you do next.

Sad to hear feels like a fall out job but let's hope that whatever occurred Is put on the table because I feel that's what's wrong currently.....everything that's gone on needs to come out onto the table and not brushed under it. IMO .that is

Malcolm was going to be put in charge of the shop as I had a chat last week when getting my tickets, he said stock wasn’t selling and first thing would be to lower the prices as the same stuff from Errea was cheaper on their website and the prices given were not realistic or thought about. He seemingly took over, ad ertised the prices would be reduced and resigned a few hours later, clearly someone in charge wasn’t happy with cutting the cost of the merchandising, Malcolm knew what fans wanted as he bloody asked them, I mean fleeces with no damn pockets just sat there not selling, I’m sure he would have cleared the stock and made the club money as opposed to Big sell offs at the end of the year. He must of been pretty ed off, just to clear up as well, Marc put he resigned, club states mutual consent, seems pretty clear who is trying to cover up what happened.

All in all some really sad news, we may be turning it around on the field but FFS is there any chance this club, just for once can all pull in the same direction to take us forwards instead of eaither backwards or stagnating.

From where I stand, Malcolm appears to have applied common sense - an attribute not liked these days.

You are not the only club with this issue, there are others who have some right **** holes in positions beyond their capabilities...

They are extremely detrimental to club finances and it beats me how they keep their jobs.

It also undermines the on-field stuff as the fans get hacked off when trying to support the club through purchasing fan wear.

But as we are Yorkshire folk - we won't be ripped off.

Apparently the shop had without any trouble being providing the club with over 1k a week only directors will know the exact income . For aclub like fax that is a serious income stream they haven't had for years . I found that if I had jumped to a conclusion too quickly the easiest way to rectify matters with staff particularly ones you actually need and want to keep is to admit you got it wrong say sorry and if the income from that shop is remotely like the above come up with a solution damned quickly along with a cuddle and pint for malc. Which is actually what the club needs right now.

Even if the shop is taking over 1k a week the out goings far outweigh this. The shop won't turn a profit this year hence the argument with one party wanting to drop prices and another party knowing that is not feasible. The only problem this year is that those losses have to be covered by the club.

If I recall Malcolm ran the shop once before and was asked to allow someone else to do it, so this may be a repeat of his way not working with others.

Please do not forget that the directors, and Mark, all do this for no payment they all have the best interests of the Club at heart ----the question has always been about their competence...or lack of it.
