Not an unexpected result tonight,we are what we are and that I fear will not be a top 4 side. What concerns me though is who does RM go to for advice on players,game plans,opposition,transfer targets, player development etc.etc. I do not believe we have any BOD experience in this area or anyone within the coaching team to offer input. This is not criticism merely a question whether we need an experienced person within the club for RM to lean on and learn from.
They will will have to be paid but it may be worthwhile, I realise Murrell & Grix get involved but would someone outside the group be more effective?

Yep, I think your right, not unexpected and it's about where we are being a part time club and with the money we have.
Year on year the Championship has got progressively stronger and there are some goods sides, some of which are full time, some of which are spending a lot more than us and it's getting harder to compete, tonight for example we were probably at full strength barring JWH and the score line was pretty comprehensive.

It will be interesting to see what RM has to say and how and if the club can respond because you would have thought if they can change anything it will need to happen very soon or be cut adrift.

We are not a top 4 club, and I honestly don't believe the BOD have the experience or funds to move the club forward. Looking through Companies House, it also concerns me that there has been a big 'turnover' of directors in a relatively short period of time. Something to ponder on.

With the current set-up as it is, don't expect miracles.

I think you have a point, one thing I heard about the FC Halifax Town boss Billy Heath who got sacked was that he did not have the contacts in the game to sign players from hence why he over relied on his old club North Ferriby. I hope Richard Marshall has a good relationship with people at other clubs, I guess he has with Cas so we shall see.
A club's Board does need RL experience which maybe the current Board doesn't?

I think if Pete is putting on twitter things like that then he really doesn't understand what being a director is.....it's about stopping mistakes like that before they happen . That's what managers and owners should do. What is in place to stop it happening again and has the full conversation been had with Rm. he of all people knows the money situation I can't help but think Richard needs to become far more innovative with the opportunities and resources he has to resolve the problems. To be fair to the board I think they have provided him with all they could this year . It's up to him to start being more flexible and listen more. Get Sheridan or someone in from Cas to have a good hard look at what we do and pull it apart a bit. There is no problem behind closed doors. Rm needs to be far more open to change perhaps we have been too accommodating to him. I just get the feeling this year he's off the pace as were some of our players at season start.

Knowing Peter with his passion for the club and the desire to see it thrive, I know he will have tried. There is only so much a director can do before the relationship with a coach starts to break down - yes the coach should take input but he is paid to coach and pick the team. Seeing how hard Peter and the other directors work to bring money into the club I can see how frustrating it is for them to see the coach ‘throw away’ £20k by picking a weakened team.

Not being a twitter user, I do not know what has been said by Peter, but if it is likely to to be barbed it will not help .
I M O R M does now need to ask for help, if it is someone from the outside, as Jensen F F says, and not to sulk about the advice being offered, sometimes when we are so close to things we cannot see the wood for the trees. In my profession as I am sure in a lot of others these days are called Professional Development, and as much as we all sometimes baulk at them, they do have some value and refresh ideas forgotten or shelved. A look back at his previous playbooks both at his previous club and early days at fax . any little helps to move the Fax forward, the last thing we need is in fighting between management.

Key home match for me looking at the teams and the table. I would settle for the ugliest , scrappy win of the season and that may be the best way to beat London . They like unruffled rugby for me so it's play the opposite to that but possession will be crucial and welcome them to Yorkshire.!! It's a 4 pointer.

Yes that is where I come from borrow people to review what we do. What I will be looking at today is for shape in how we are actually lined up to attack . If we get a play 20 yds out let's look if there is a game plan for someone to run onto the ball and make the opposition actually have to think about what we are doing .

Ithink the reality is they will only realise if they need help when it's too late. A bit like when should you plant trees ..about 20 years ago .if they scramble in the top 4 life goes on but come 5th and it's a very hard road ahead. Thant said maintain reserves and the Cas deal and we will survive . I just don't see a club strategy for anything currently . But then the old board never had one for anything so what's new. For me I think we need a new booster injection to move forward but it depends very much on mindsets and if they have ambition to achieve that is key .

Jensen FF, you have a lot to say. Why not offer your services to the BoD, I am sure they will welcome your experience.

Maybe a few years ago yes but not now personally if you were wanting a growth industry i don't think Rugby League would be on the list of top tips. I could actually see more potential in Hx FC looking at it very coldly but I don't even like football although I used to play it when you could actually tackle someone. ..
