Anyone else think we should have been awarded a penalty try when Smeaton scored and as he was grounding the ball the Fev player (think it was Johnson?) basically kicked him in the head.

You mean the one where johnson was running in as last man and slipped, catching Smeaton on the bonce.

You make yourself look silly with a comment like that, the chances of the match commissioner even going in the bar are slim to start with, the chances of him telling you about the ref's performance are even slimmer. |

Ok whether he slipped or not was besides the point. When Smeaton grounded the ball Johnson was nowhere near Smeaton so there was no need to carry on running in. But he did and then he "slipped" into Smeatons head. |

When the drop goal went over the Community Stand went wild, half a dozen Fev fans next to us did likewise, we put our heads in our hands.
When our penalty went over we went wild, the half dozen Fev fans next to us offered us out for a fight!
As we left the ground they were there, one kicked one of us, we walked on.
It's a shame.
isnt it strange that the "Community Stand" is the one where they sing ":y :y Halifax?

Sorry to bring it up and sorry to my Fev friends, but it is quite intimidating to visit Fev.

It was the first time me and Mrs LTD have been to Fev since 'the incident' I was on edge all game and had to ensure we avoided the vitriol that came our way at the Fax end as Fev fans were leaving the ground. I was glad to get away to be honest as it was very uncomfortable atmosphere when leaving the ground. It's such a shame as the ground itself has been improved since we last went. Not all Fev fans are included by the way but unfortnately the ones by us were quite intimidating.
Ah well I am sure things will improve at Balckpool after 3 days of drinking!
On a more positive note what a great win and must provide the players with more confidence. I did scribe on an earlier post it would be a thriller- and indeed it was.
Now 5th.

And then looked straight at the Fax fans behind the posts and gave a smirking smile, knowing exactly what he had done and got away with it. |
