Does anyone think tinkering/ altering with the side is having a detrimental effect. Last season we could name the 17 pretty much. This season the team changes week by week. The only problem with this is continuity and getting those combinations going. I understand its a squad game but you look at top teams and there side is pretty much the same. I still don't think RM knows his best team. Should we have done tinkering in preseason and know our strongest 17. Wouldn't it be best to pick the same team week by week. Not a criticism but would appreciate any thoughts/comments please.

Normally I'd agree with you, yet we (Leigh) have constantly made numerous changes this season and have got through SEVEN different half back pairings in six games. (with every chance of an EIGHTH combination this weekend!) I suppose that's one way of rotating the squad to try and keep players fresh - but some continuity would certainly be good now!

Very disruptive Alan no question but there's always the other side of the coin, at least you had the players or could bring in the players to play in there.

There's many a side who would have had to go with what they had or rather what they didn't have.
Not too long ago when Fax were playing Dane Manning and Adam Robinson in the centres because we had no one from our regular three quarter line fit enough to play there at the time.

Bizarre isn't it? Virtually all our injuries/"unavailabilities" have been in the backs, just like the ones you quote. Mustn't be able to cope with the training, like the tough forwards!

If we were winning our matches then RM might not be tinkering with the squad but we aren't so it is his job to find the winning combination. What would we be saying if he picked the same players week in, week out and we kept losing?

having watched the reserves in most games this season, there's some cracking talent in there. But Morris and Moore are top of that bunch and I believe they're ready for their first team debuts. They won't let us down

Jonno is out for a number of weeks did his MCL against Leigh be about 3 / 4 weeks i guess could have done with him over the easter period hope scotty is ready UTFAX

Gutted that jonno is missing he could have done with a couple of games in the halves for a confidence boost we should do a job even if we put our full reserve team out. who do we want in the next round castleford lock lane or fev lions they play each other this weekend look forward to the draw on tuesday UTFAX
