Never nice to lose one from the game, however this is an exception.

Hmm, strange one that, not Beeb his greatest fan(understatement) but it's a shame to lose anybody from the game. As I've said previously, last week was probably one of his better games, I know he made errors, but his usual 20 or so and he didn't have his usual period of giving penalties for reasons known only to himself. Saying that the try he disallowed when letting numerous other shields go was poor.
Anyway I might go to his leaving do, just to make he does.

Complete moron. Absolutely incompetent.

Never forgiven him for a shocking performance a few years back at POR against Fev in the playoffs. Screwed us royally that day and did his very best to do it again against London last weekend.

Don't like to see people leave the sport but for Mr Stokes I will make an exception.

As a fellow member of the human race all the best to George, but as an RL fan really hope it's true.

If not true, then please can you go back to school and learn what constitutes "obstruction" and a "forward pass" in our great game (along with all the other rules that you seem to apply in a totally random fashion).

Let's hope all those who are happy will now volunteer to start reffing at the thankless task of junior Rugby, progress to Amateur and then to the equally thankless task of professional Rugby League.

Each to his own, but now wouldn't be my idea of the time to have a pop at him. No idea what he's thinking, and the memory of Chris Leatherbarrow is still fresh. We all yell at the ref during the game, but I've never seen one yet who I didn't think was doing his best, and mistakes by referees seem to be discussed to a ridiculous degree on forums these days. It's a tough job and refs both good and not-so-good have made howlers over the years and will continue to do so, but we wouldn't have a game without them. And in my opinion, at the end of each season, it's very rare that a team finishes higher or lower in the table simply because of refereeing decisions. Just my opinion.

I understand what you are saying BUT I cannot agree, its like saying hey no matter how bad you are at your job we will keep you because its a job nobody wants to do, you could say that for loads of jobs yet people get kicked out if they are not good enough.
He was not good enough, simple as.
