Anybody know the funding difference for finishing 6th rather than 7th?

Realistically, there is a good chance of this if we can beat Bradford or keep the score low... Would also put Leigh in 7th reducing funding for a major rival.

It just shows how difficult this system can be. Leigh, for all their money and success in the first phase, could still end up bottom of this division.

Obviously we are capable of beating Bradford so a win would get us 6th but on the other hand if Widnes put a good team out for their final game then they should run some points up against Leigh now their bubble has well and truly burst. Ive got a feeling though that last try conceded last night could come back to haunt us, thats 3 games out of 6 we have conceded on the hooter.

As in 1986 I reckon a draw should do both teams, it should get us 6th place and the Bulls 4th, can't see them over taking Salford as the points difference is massive.

I wonder now that the Bulls are guaranteed a shot at the ' million pound game 'they might rest some of their key players for the fax game . Give the players a week off , get over the bumps and bruises and come back refreshed for what is a much bigger game than the fax one .Might work in our favour .

Pretty certain Bradford and Wakefield will have eyes on the following week. wont want injuries, biggest game in a while for both clubs. Fax have a chance.
Widnes may switch off and allow Leigh in, anything can happen.
Despite no million pound game, theres still a lot to play for.
I hope Wakefield win and stay up, because I have really enjoyed the Leigh, Bradford, Halifax rivalry this year. Part of me would like a Championship side to go up, to validate the new system, but I think it will really start to be a true competition next year.

Doubt it both Wakey and Bradford will want to get 4th spot and the home game for the million pound match which will be a big advantage especially for Wakey as not many teams below SL have won at a SL ground I think just Barrow at Cas and Leigh at Wakey in the cup can't recall any other wins away? But I think Sheffield could do Wakey at home, especially if we have managed to beat Bradford the day before as Wakey will have nothing to play for.
Widnes will want to go out with a win and will probably beat Leigh.
As for us we want to beat Bradford and get 6th spot and the extra £300K plus funding which is HUGE for us, never mind the bragging rights over our most bitter rivals!

It is based on the placings after the Super 8's. The link, who know's, it was on the RFL website, but I imagine it is probably hidden away somewhere by now...
