| Seems to be a lot of fans overreacting to todays defeat. Whilst the scoreline is very disappointing, I think we need to be realistic and acknowledge the situation this season. RM reffereing to Doncaster as a "masssive game" put things into perspective for me.
The truth is, as I said at the start of the season, its far easier for teams like us to 'underachieve' and slip down to the level of the likes of Hunslet and Batley than it is for us to raise our game to compete with those in the top 4. This was always likely to be a season of dissapointment, particularly after last seasons performances.
Im just glad that we've got a decent young coach who I believe will turn out to be a success if we bare with him, and that we'll not be getting dragged into a relegation battle this year. Keep the faith and get behind the team.

| Yep, agree, we need to be realistic, were actually building a really solid pack and base to develop. The other sides are much further down the development journey than us.
I can already see us improving, even if results don't show it, I think people need to be honest, don't get carried away with a couple of wins, 5th or 6th is no disgrace, 4th is a fantastic year. Lets keep improving and keep supporting the lads. Plenty of rugby to come this year too...

| We were put in our place today by a very good team who will be 3rd and will push Bradford next week.
We are in the middle 'league' for 4th spot with Dewsbury, Fev and London and right now I think 5th will be where we will finish which money wise will be bad news but do we want to get tonked in the middle eights?
I don't even if we need the brass.

| We have a small part time squad that sees us with next to no cover and most of the squad signed by Harrison rather than Richard Marshall. I dont expect us to be in the top 4 and dont think even Fev will make it as think London will just take it at the end. Realistically we are a mid table team which had an outside chance of a top 4 finish. Today we didnt perform but the way a few people are going off on Facebook they seem to have lost the plot. We are in a better situation under RM than last year. We have a few players that sadly are just not good enough and we released others that should have maybe kept. This season have shown that the top 3 are way ahead of the rest and its between us ; Fev, London and Dewsbury for the last spot. Thats how it is and if people can think we can match the top 3 FT teams especially from home with our small squad then they are dreaming. One bad performance is all we have had really and am sure we will see a different Fax next week.

| It's alright having a solid pack but when you've centres that are at best average, a winger that's forever getting caught out of position, struggles catching most balls that are passed to him and can't even bust a tackle, the lads a unit and should be running through brick walls, and as for Ben Johnston, what does he do apart from run up his own , he's dreadful. I watched the Bulls v Donny game and Doncaster looked more dangerous with the ball than we do, we're clueless

Exactly, we will have to improve drastically against Doncaster next week.
As for a a solid pack though having watched the other game I would have thought in yards gained our pack was fourth today.
Why do posters start new topics when there is already one there.
It makes it so confusing.
"Sheffield scorecast" would have done
Mods can you merge then please?

| For the first time this season we looked poor which was a bit gutting. I think they made us look what we are also rans with a smaller budget than ever this season. Just think RM needs to be given time to prefect HIS team as still most players are from KH regime. Can see we could get through them but struggled to find any cohension in passing and trying to over complicate things some players just aren't up to speed or switched on enough on such an attacking philosophy yet. Taylor had a bad game, Johnno unfort lacking maybe from stint out and again Brown was caught out v Worrincy. But the pack played well Mitch and Luke strong as ever hope Danny Craven goes well too early to see how good he was today. Lets get behind the lads its too early too be too pessimistic think some fans do overreact I think we'll come back stronger from this!

Even in the cold light of the day after i dare not comment much.Thought we were doing really well under RM at start of season but we seem to be going backwards at moment.
5.7% for you ?? must have been bad you didn't go back out did you ?
ps nice to have a chat with you Bentleyman.

| No, a great day out barring the game. The first time this season where I thought, like you, that we are going backwards. Well and truly beaten on the day. Sheffield were very good but to be honest, we were woeful. Rob must have been laughing his socks off as he was awarded the freedom of the Keepmoat. Mrs Huddshay could have scored that hat trick and she's recovering from a leg operation! I don't like to pick players out for criticism but if there aren't any better wingers in't Halifax local leagues than Brown its a poor do. As I say a good wander around Donny with the lads, The Doncaster Brewery Tap was great, but the less said about the game the better. On the plus side it's only one poor performance but the results need to pick up and sharpish. Up The Fax!

| On a positive note the three half-backs playing together could well bear fruit in weeks to come.Unrealistic to expect it to work perfectly at first attempt.

| Whatever happens this season I really think we are in a better position than we were under KH and I'd also say that with this squad playing to his tactics we would be moaning a hell of a lot more than we are. There is light at the end of this tunnel but under KH that light would only have been a train coming the other way. This is a transitional season, next year is what we need to target, but saying that we need to keep moving forward this year. Summer's here( though I just been watching cricket in the snow) so onward and upward.
