Return to Promotion and Relegation, new coach, return to decent traditional kits, there is a feel good factor at the club and the division as a whole at the moment.

And it's great to see that the club are feeling the benefits of this.
Now, I hope this doesnt come across as a negative post, its an attempt at being realistic! This season is going to be so tough, especially looking at the signings made by other clubs, I just hope that the good feeling doesnt evaporate when were not top of the league a month in! Realistically, Id take top 5 if it looked like we were building up to something in the long term.

I think we have to be realistic here and the strength of the league next year is going to be way above previous. What is important is that we are now moving forward and we should celebrate success no matter how small etc. Merry Christmas to all forum members on here and let's hope the future is bright and it's blue and white.

If we continue making good common sense decisions and working hard things will come together and we'll start making our own luck for a change.

Congratulations to the club on this news, well done to everyone involved and keep that momentum going right through until the start of the season and then keep going some more.

Great comments, positive comments, just like everything coming out of the club.
I am quite sure most/all of us would have preferred to go it alone, but, our board are being realistic, they, like us want Fax to compete and if they think DR is the way then let's give it our support.
A wager to our resident Dalesman, the crowd at the end of the season will be higher than last season.

As the bard William Shakespeare famously said,

A very Happy Christmas, a great New Year and a successful season 2015 to all of us connected with Fax.

A couple of days ago there were comments such as "the lowest point in 100 odd years". Now, the sun is shining, the birds are singing and all is good.

It's called differing opinions. You should know anyway, i've seen you on the VT. Now that is a mixed bag of lost souls!!

LOL. We don't have a vast army of supporters, but we do have 1000+ who are die-hard, through and through blue 'n' white supporters of the Fax.

Of those, only a few (less than 5%) choose to contribute on this forum.

Why relevant? Well, any comments about "lowest points" etc. are (imo) the view of a really small portion of the fax supporter's fraternity.

For me, I'm looking forward to 2015 with far more hope and expectation than for many a year.

Having read the attatched article it sounds good news, well done.

I wonder what gates the board are budgeting on this coming season as i understand they fell well short of last season's targets. The reason i mention this point is because there's a quote in there about new non-renewable season ticket sales, which is obviously pointing in the right direction i agree, but unless they're new to the club then that surely takes away from a walk-up & pay at the gate sale. Yes, the money is now in the club account but if that sale fails to turn up for fixtures there is a potential to lose programme/cashfax etc etc sales on the day.
No mention in the article of how much the club shop lost last year, as i understand it was quite a substantial hit if what i was told is correct.

Pointing in the right direction though, that's great news.

Great to hear that sales and therefore interest is looking higher than recent years, we have seen similar figures at Leigh, ultimatley you would have to put this down to the restructure, lets just hope the VT doommongers are wrong and we see some ups and downs
