Ohh dear. I think they are actually trying for three figure attendances. Why on earth would someone pay £70 to bring a family to a game. Just when things are looking positive the club royally screws its fans once again.

| What are you babbling on about now Nat?
The price of a season ticket hasn't gone up for the past three years. I think a £2 increase over 4 years is more than reasonable. And I'm pretty sure the admission costs haven't gone up during this time either

| All more reason to buy a season ticket then, especially any early bird offers
If the Rugby is kak and they peddle x-Factor style music on the tannoy then its not happening.
Iron Maiden, Jam, Metallica or Marching Bands and im sold oh and some decent Rugby..
On another note, get yer season tickets and let The Dulls, and others pay £20.. or £17
I still miss Thrum Hall if ya haven't guessed.

| The product has improved since last year, just like we've all been wanting and waiting for. Bigger games, more to play for.

We've only had a few decent atmospheres each year, im looking forward to some sizeable away support coming and getting the crowd more involved..
No offence to todays young uns (they haven't had much to sing about recently) but the singing at Thrum Hall was something else, and I remember the Regal Trophy final we lost, the Fax fans sang their hearts out for 80 mins. (Not sure they remembered much of the game though)

| We can either:
A) Reduce prices like Bradford Bulls did. I'll call the Administrators now shall I?
Or
B) Freeze prices and prepare for Championship 1.
Tell me something that hasn't gone up in price in the last three years (apart from admission to Halifax RLFC matches). It's not nice granted but I doubt the BOD are sat there thinking up ways to hack fans off. It's a fine balancing act between funding through turnstiles/funding from their own pocket/signing the right players/signing deadwood. Without looking at the books, the projected income and not having a crystal ball for a new competition I can't judge what is the right decision. In the board I trust. ......

| I have my season ticket and I think its great value. I have bought my lads junior season ticket which, as always, is fantastic value. he gets into all home and away games with his ticket so when we go to away games its only me to pay for.
We know money is still tight but I don't think a £2 increase is unreasonable. I am doing what I do every year. I save £20 a month and when the season has finished Im ready to buy my new season ticket. Cant wait for next season, new coach, new players new teams in the league. well work an extra £2.
If you cant afford the extra £2 have one less pint a week. Money saved!!!

| I know that after last year to many putting the prices up is a bit of a no, no BUT we have to compete with clubs that are already charging more than us and we have not had a price rise for 4 years.
I was thinking an extra pound on the admission prices would have been okay but as one of the Board members said to me £19 for the east stand would not have been practical so £2 it is.
I am okay with that as you can get a bargain by getting a season ticket plus Halifax Town charge £17 for their games standing or seating and I am sure most clubs in the Championship will be charging more next year, I know Fev are planning to raise their prices.

I happen to believe that the competition within this division has also "improved since last year" therefore we'll likely be two places lower than this year.
If you don't fancy the bet, and i'm proved to be wrong with my prediction, i'll allow you to hold me to my word & i will still donate the £20 to a charity/good cause on your reminder to me on here.

Out of curiosity, why not practical?
I agree with Rich that it is a very difficult decision for any club to make. They need to build a competitive squad without alienating the hard core support. The problem then however is that the price increase could potentially put off the floating supporter who isn't a diehard but enjoys the odd rugby match every now and then. I think this is one of the reasons FCHT haven't seen any major increase in crowds even though they have had success over the last few seasons. A price increase does add further pressure onto how the club markets itself out in the community, which on the whole, Fax have usually done very well.
