| Extract:
Will bonus points continue to be awarded in both the Championship and League One?
With annual promotion and relegation restored, there is a recognition that all teams need to use the same points scoring system. The sport currently operates two scoring systems with two points for a win and one for a draw in Super League, and three points, two for a draw and one for losing by 12 points or less in Championship and Championship One. One of these will be adopted across all three competitions from 2015.
A consultation process is currently underway to see which would be the best option: the process will take into account the views of players, coaches, administrators, broadcasters, commercial partners, other stakeholders in the game and, most importantly, the fans. Leeds Metropolitan University are undertaking a piece of research to obtain the views of fans from both Super League and Championships that will feed into the decision-making process which is expected to come to a conclusion before the end of this year.

| Earning top 2 in the championship is important, as they get 4 home fixtures (if I read it right) in the qualifier, this will be extremely tough with Bulls, London, Leigh and fev all full time

| That Summer Bash game could be a real season breaker if we get the Bulls. The fair way would be to ensure that the top 6-8 teams are playing each other and maybe go 1/2,3/4 etc. but it is potentially a four or six pointer.

| I'm sure it will all pan out Charlie.
Just wondering who the top four will be, will London or Bulls get in there or will it be 4 of this years Champ teams?

You cant have it on a neutral ground when the 4th team has earned the right to finish above the 5th team. It works in a playoff system but wouldnt in this system.

| I like the 4th v 5th play off game even if it is on the highest finsihers home ground at least 1 of the Championship clubs will be in that game with a chance of going into SL, that has to be better than the closed shop of the hated Franchise system surely?
One thing I don't get unless I am missing something is the 7th & 8th teams in the Championship Shield being relegated? What happens to the clubs who were 9th to 12th in the Championship regular season?

The teams which are 7th & 8th in the Championship Shield will be the ones who have played a total of 30 matches against Championship opposition and have secured the lowest number of points. They'll deserve to be relegated.
Remember that only 5 to 12 will be in the Championship Shield, and they'll carry forward their League Points into the Shield competition.

A chance ? Surely four teams have "a chance". They just have to win games.
But that's the problem, isn't it ? There's just too much of a mismatch in resources. A bit like the World Club Championship. How did you do in that ? We won one in the last minute and got stuffed in the other three.
Closed shop ? One team would have gone up at the end of this season. Instead we have to wait another year for a none up, none down system.
