The other good news about getting the game on is that we dont end up with a back log of fixtures and with Sheffield having their game called off then theres a decent chance that we could play them after they have played a mid week game and with so much at stake that could be massive.

Thankfully the game is on and no doubt the pitch will cut up a lot due to the amount of water on it over the past month. The biggest sporting club in Halifax is about to enter the most important season for along time. Just hope the team gives us a win and the fans get down to The Shay.

I thought the pitch whilst very heavy held up well.
I would not want it to "cut up" though as we have a very important game there two weeks today, a nice firm ground against Batley is just what we want. |

We have this argument every year. Every year I say the following; compare the pitch at the start of the rugby season to the pitch at the start of the football season, you will instantly see that its the football who ruins the playing surface.
