| It was never in doubt, pal.
Surprised that there was a debate about who would take their place.

| I agree that it was never in doubt but the sport that was RL, and in particular SL, can now be considered morally bankrupt.
The sport which I have loved all my life is now a total joke and my only interest is Halifax RLFC and any match they are involved in. Rugby League in general can go to hell and I just hope that Superleague will continue to crash and burn.

If the Majority of Chairman of SL teams can vote for things like this and the RFL Cowtail to them rather than making a decision and being seen to follow its own processess then essentially it is a Big boys club and a closed shop, each Chairman of clubs will have alliances to ensure they get treated the same

I agree with the above - it's the main reason why RL has gone backwards as a competition - SL is a closed shop where failure is rewarded - and there is no interest to the neutral spectator below the top 3 clubs.
(The best SL matches I ever saw a as a neutral was watching wakefield trinity play themselves out of the relegation spot years ago when SL was a proper competition.)

| I think everybody on this forum knew this was going to happen. From the word go the RFL could not afford to have the embarrasment of their 'Super League' beacon club go under and also had a £1.2m investment re the lease. The whole thing has just brought the game into disrepute with their own guidelines being ignored and making a mockery of the licencing system.
It is simply a closed shop with an old boys network and that clique has now tarnished the name and ethos of rugby league across the whole game structure.
Hang your heads in shame RFL and Super League Chairman
The words 'Nero fiddles Rome and burn' come to mind.
PS I am glad for those genuine Bradford people who tipped up the £500k to help their club survive but what about all the previous creditors-that point seems to have been lost as the media focus on keeping the Bulls afloat come what may!

| There should still be hope that Bradford will be liquidated and that this season's Championship Grand Final winners will be promoted to SL (if they really do want a 14 team Super League)
The article says that the core of their squad, players such as Luke Gale, Brett Kearney, Heath L’Estrange, John Bateman, Craig Kopczak and Jamie Langley, are signed up for 2013.
If that's the case, and the Administrator has, by law, to do what raises most cash for the Bulls' creditors:
1. Sell that lot - to other Super League clubs, NRL clubs or RU then liquidate the Bulls
2. Only if a new financial backer offers to put more cash into the Bulls for the creditors than 1. above would raise should the Administrator accept such an offer.
i.e. the fate of the Bulls is, ultimately, in the hands of the Administrator, not the RFL or SLE.

| Not a surprise and frankly I am glad we are out of SL. SL has very little to offer except sleaze and debt. The game is built on sand and one day its going to come crashing down. The likes of Wood and Rimmer are a disgrace but they dont care. Seriously ourselves, Fev, Leigh etc are best out of SL as we are clearly not wanted and if we end up in Sleazy League I can only see money problems coming eventually just like Hull KR, Castleford, London, Salford, Bradford etc etc are encountering and desperately hanging on. Least we are making small profits, using local players and winning things where we are. SL would see us not doing that in my opinion. Bradford Club is a disgrace and the way things have happened and no investigation is typical of the way things are done in the game as a whole. The whole game from amateur to International level is badly run but nobody cares and our minority sport will stay so until things change.

Phil, It kind of already has in my heart now, Love Fax to bits, never miss a home game and havn't for more than 6 years, Always get the early season ticket to help the club, but i really am thinking now, Should i just turn up to the occasional few, The championship is going to seperate into top 6 or 7 and everyone else way below next year with the others that are coming up, The fact that SL chairman can decide on the fate of a club rather than the Governing body making a decision that is right for the sport and sticking to it infuriates me to the hilt. Next it will be a case of P&R reinstated to try and appease the likes of us, fev and leigh, no time to prepare a team and club fit for SL so the YoYo scenario will come back.
Rugby league has been dragged through the Mud, Bradfords shenanigins has been a discrace and what do they get, Money from the RFL to tide them over, even a offer to buy them from SLE if worst comes to the worst, Other clubs giving them free money etc, and then told dont worry you will still dine with us at the big table.

| You should be counting yourselves lucky that you wont be asked , in fact I'd suggest a sizeable donation to the ' Bullbuilder ' fund is in order as a thank you
SL just keeps getting better and better

| The more serious upshot to this is that it puts Fax, Fev and Leigh in serious limbo.
With all due respect, there are clubs in the championship who accept their position and are quite happy to form a "partnership" with a super league - indeed will possibly benefit from it. But this is a position that has been forced upon the championship clubs - one the SL clubs decided to introduce without championship clubs getting their say! If the plans for under 20 rugby in super league come to fruition there will be even more pressure to follow this route! And there was me thinking a club gained a super league licence on THEIR ability to produce youth, not relying on championship clubs to bring them on.
Fax, Fev, Leigh and any other club with super league ambitions, will not want a partnership. They have their own ambitions and pride, as well as proud and ambitious supporters. So where does that leave us? Have the RFL even considered this? The Bradford decision proves not one championship club was considered - a 13 team SL or 14 teams with Bradford - was discussed. The door is shut.
This could well prove to be a watershed decision in the sport, and one chairmen of all championship clubs need to react to!
Do Hetherington and his mob really think fans lost from championship clubs will really embrace their nearest SL club?

| What happens when Salford go bust? Precedent has been set. Or has it?
It is definitely one massive clique with the RFL lowering it's pants. I hope they all stew in their own juices and implode. Let them rot as the quality goes down under and to Union. Never before have I wanted a group of RL club to fail as I do now. They deserve each other and we're best off out of it.

| It's a licence to go bust & be saved by the other SL members, unless of course you're not welcome in SL for whatever reason.

As i had a good upbringing, I was always told "unless you've nothing good to say don't say it" Therefore no comment.
I was also told not to speak ill of the dead.
