I think our goal line defence has been pretty poor all season tbh. Makes you wonder if the system needs tweaking a bit because we always seem to be too spread out on our line leading to a lot of soft dive over trys.

@halifaxjohn according to DP he would rather have a tough game before the final but as we all know Fev have struggle the week after tough games all season so me thinks hes trying to con people and would rather of had an easy run out like we did with the luxury of resting half the likely Blackpool team at one point or another. To be fair though hes probably trying to take some pressure off his lads because we all know they are prone to the occasional choke.

In my opinion the best defence we had all season was at LSV in the CC semi, I think the lads up there defence in big game proformance's because there is something big at stake so hopefully this will ring true on Sunday. Lets just hope for better weather than we had that day.

Yes aould agree that was our best defensive display, lets just hope we don't have any brain-fart moments like not taking easy points.

Eagles away at Bramall Road in the league game was a top display as well.
Other than that it's been average.

Our defensive structure has been dodgy all season but we scramble and make last ditch tackles remarkably well.

We'll have to improve the former on Sunday.

Beginning and end of each half will be crucial.

It's not just about tackling and Defence in that sense.

The biggest factor has to do with field position.

Penalties for example lose you ground, in this context = bad field position and the penalty, penalty try saying is well known in the game nowadays.
Even at the under 18's game last night both sides conceeded several tries straight after conceeding a penalty.

Also how you get through your sets and completion rate turning the ball over cheaply in your own half = bad field position.

Standard of kicking game, good kick = good field position or a repeat attacking bad kick = bad field position etc.

I don't think our discipline has been too bad this season but our completion rate both in exit sets and attacking sets has been below par and our general kicking game not much better at times.

A key factor will be discipline and that will mean adapting to how the game is officiated on the day and composure who does the basics right on the day.
