We've signed Ben Heaton from Oldham.

Can't pretend i know a lot about him to be honest, but can play full-back, centre or second row according to his profile on Oldham website...possibly Miles not staying here next season?

If we have signed Ben Heaton and he's half as good as Joe Chandler he'll do for me.
Everytime Joe as played he as been hardworking, good tackler and also scored trys. Can't understand why he didn't play more often.
I hope Karl as offered him a contract because I think he will be even better next season under Karls coaching.
With all the good signings we've made to date it's going to be a long winter just waiting to see them perform.

Obviously very highly rated at oldham, their coach expects him to play SL. Hope weve got him on a contract for more than one year or he'll just get poached if hes any good though.

This lad is pure quality. Spoke in detail to an oldham fan, who claims if a few things go his way, he is 100% good enough for a club to take a punt on him at S/L level. His words where "watch this kid, he is class, and that new club feeling will spur him on even further"... and he wasn't being disrepectful to oldham, just saying some players do move because its their time for a new challenge at a higher level and you cant deny him that chance.
