Will he stay or go?

i hear he might be on his way to Hunslet to play under barry eaton again

If he stays, and personally I think he will go, where will he play ????

I would rather retain Beswick, he can play Stand off and many other positions and is a far better option.

Although Danny as been pretty consistant all year he as hardly set the world on fire - he does not take on the line and thats why we have been so predictable for opposing defences.

Plus we cannot retain everyone - this year we need a bit of quality rather than quantity and so far this is the route that KH is going !!! During the early part of last season people were just getting game time for the sake of it - we need to settle on our best 19 like KH has already stated - remember Swinton where we played (or at least started) without a recognised prop just to give players a run out and tbh we were nearly found out !!!

I agree, I mean I doubt he'd want to play second to Handforth and also we've got Bowman signed up. He's been a good player has Danny, but for some reason he's never quite slotted in properly..

Sorry but Danny Jones is just an average Championship player but if a team is to be a force in the Championship and win trophies it will not do it with Danny in the halves sadly. He tries and gives his best but sadly doesnt have the quality to be a star in the Championship. He is still youngish and maybe will get better with age but sadly he is not what Fax want or need at this moment in time. Let him go to Hunslet or Keighley where he will be better appreciated by the fans

I was asked on Twitter the other day if I'd keep him once Thackeray and Handforth were on board, my reply was to keep Bowman instead,

If he went to Hunslet to play Under Eaton, I dont think many would bear him any grudges and we could wish him well on his way, may come back to bite us on the backside but who knows

I'll give the lad his due. I bet he is a player with most percentage goal kicks this season. Nanyn being a close 2nd. But unfortunately, he is a little one-dimensional with the ball in hand.

Jonesey always tried and wore his heart on his sleeve. But the question is "Would you be concerned to see a player playing AGAINST your team?" The obvious answers with the likes of Makka and Penky would be a resounding "YES", and I was glad to see Handforth not return for the 2nd half when we played Batley.

But would I be concerned to see Danny oppose us? No, not at all. Very "bland" in attack, even though his goal kicking got better as the season progressed. Cannot seeing him being offered a contract, but wish him all the best wherever he might end up.

Was told before Sheff game that Danny not been offered a contract
