I for one feel a little bit let down. The club tease us with "watch out for news tomorrow" and all it is about is season tickets. There is so much news we are waiting for: 1. What improvement areas for Superleague 2. Who will be in our league next year. 3. Who will our coach be. 4. Which players will we have next year? ?

I will probably buy a season ticket, that's what we fans do, but all the above questions are important to those who dither about buying.......

I suppose its news about the offer?

I feel a little let down by that too BOB, As you say i could get Bulls and Giants for less than Fax are offering with £50 to spare for a shirt, Also it states 11 games, They dont know until tomorrow what the makeup of the League will be but general consensus is 2 10 teir Leagues, so how do they get 11 games, the NRC games in early stages are free anyway with ST, so really it will be 9 home games and a few NRC games. Discounting the NRC which in the early stages are rubbish then its £17-£18 per game. All the news coming out is about joining money relieving clubs, Gold Fax and the new £50 per month membership ( sounds a little like the viking stronghold thing ).

How about a, cut the no frills season ticket, South or East stand, No gimmicks just the games and a fair price for the cash up front.

How about you give the fans what they are wanting to know, A) what the club need to do for SL, what did the RFL say. B) Coach for next season C) i know its a little difficult but some ideas of the players and calibre that we will be looking at next season.

Becuase of the price i am afraid to say that i think this year for the first in many i might have to choose the games i go to. I'm saving for my wedding and dont think the MRS would be too happy this year. £320 for 2 ST + shirts and Cash fax is £500 without food and drink, Times are getting tighter i am afraid.

The prices are far too exspensive for part time rugby in a league which we are unable to get promoted from.

The problem with heavy discounting is that once you've done it - you can't go back unless you step up a level and offer something EXTRA that the fans are willing to pay. There is scope for us to do it but we will have to stick to that kind of pricing for 3 years at least before we can offer the EXTRA (Super League or Sonny Bill) and put prices up. Huddersfield and Bradford are playing a dangerous game. They can't now ever go back to charging £160+ without losing a massive amount of fans - unless of course they dominate SL and win a load of trophies and that's just not going to happen.

However, I too would like to see the pledge experiment at Fax - just to see the response. If the number isn't hit then it's normal prices - not much lost by trying.

I agree wholeheartedly with all of that. I've just bought mine on-line but I can't say that I'm impressed with the pricing. It's cost me considerably more than last year (IIRC) at a time when prices should be going down. I personally will always support Fax but I can certainly understand how floating/prospective supporters could be drawn to Huddersfield or Bradford in preference to Halifax. I guess it's like being offered a ManU season ticket for less than half the price of a FCHT one (not that I'd accept either, even if they were free. LOL)

The other thing is the free dining package which I didn't take up this year and probably won't next either. I prefer a pint or two before the game rather than a meal and some of our group don't get ST's and wouldn't want a meal anyway. I wonder, out of interest, what percentage of those qualifying took up the offer this year?

a bulls fan i know can't even be bothered with the pledge offer anymore - decided to just pick and choose based on how they start next year. slippery slope imo
