I believe Sky have pulled out.
But don't know if any other station will show our League.
I do believe however there will be a weekly programme about the RFL, it's on the Disney Channel,

When SKY announced they had brokered a new 5 year deal for Rugby League, they only said they were showing SL games.
Championship clubs don't get any SKY money so its no great loss.

New deal doesn't include Championship or International Games, I'd imagine they'll discuss them at a later date. RFL want to be pushing Sky to get it on, Sky Show Rugby Union away from the top flight, and ever show foreign games, Rugby league is getting a raw deal and its about time the RFL argued that

Purely from memory only.
On twitter this morning, Neil Barraclough (Daily Mail RL writer) tweeped "[iPremier Sports Champ deal means live UK #rugbyleague to be shown by at least 3 different broadcasters next year - is that good news or bad?[/i"
Not good news for me though as I'm with Virgin Media. Their response to an email last month was "[iThanks for your e-mail to Virgin Media about the Premier Sports channel. We're sorry to inform you that the channel you’re looking for isn’t part of our line-up.[/i"
It goes against my principles but I think I need to shift to Sky, the RL Puppet Masters. |
