It makes me sad actually watching sky sports now and seeing the cameras at Widnes, hundreds of fans all at the mercy of some blokes in suits in an office, theres no romance in the sport now at our level, sport should be about sport. Look at football and the minnows like Blackpool and Burnley who earned the right for a fairytale journey into the top tier, even if its for 1 or 2 years, our sport doesn't have that anymore and its quite sad actually as that for me defines what sport is all about.

So true, that's why all other sports fans just laugh at us. Phil Clarke talking tripe on Boots N All last night about how P&R didn't work so franchising is the way forward. Bollocks.
Nigel Wood tried to make Fax all US razzamatzz with Blue Sox - Didn't work and has now tried it with franchising.
Somebody needs to kick that idiot out.

Speaking as a Donny fan nothing could ever top the feelings of that day in 94 when we beat Batley and finally after years of struggle made it on our own backs into the Big League. Somehow i can't see Widnes fans feeling quite the same feeling of elation today....
