| Can't see anything posted on here yet so thought I better start a thread. No reason given but it is on the Halifax RLFC website. Playing away now instead on Saturday.

| What a pain. I guess the council refused to allow it to be played at the Shay

| think it must be because of the football on Staurday. Town are at home on Saturday and if results go their way and town win then they are promoted, so can't really blame the council or the football club. It's nice to see the football getting back to back promotions. All that's left is for us to get into super league and the sport in halifax will be amazing

Nonsense. If a pitch cant take two games in three days there is something seriously wrong.

| No doubt the Girlies have cried about damage to the pitch even though they cause more damage especially around the goal mouth areas.

| there is something serioulsy wrong. The shay pitch is not up to it. it has been mentioned a number of times. When the east stand was finished off the drainage sytem for the pitch was totaly messed up. one corner has no drainage system at all now. if the game had have gone ahead it would have had 3 games on it 6 days. not a lot of pitches could handle that

Yes, a lot of pitches could. Skircoat Green moor for example has about 10 games a weekend played on each pitch. And two people aren't employed to look after it.

| The good news is that as the soccer club get promoted they will have more money to pay for the Shay useage. That money can be used to help improve the pitch and the stadium as a whole

Not sure when the "rise" was? Must be a real page turner this one.

| FROM A FRIEND OF MINE A TOWN FAN, IN THE KNOW APPARANTLY,
"The game will not be played at the Shay as HXRLFC have already booked the stadium facilities for a function due to the impending Super League licensing announcement celebrations/commiserations.
To put it simply, The Shay cannot accommodate a game and a function at the same time. Obviously a party is more important to HXRLFC than a scheduled youth game, hence zero explanation on the official site."
THE PITCH SCENARIO SEEMS ALOT MORE LIKELY TO ME.

| THE Town Friend mentioned above is NOT in the know
Halifax RLFC has NOT booked any function at the Shay this week apart from a room tomorrow to accomodate Calendar and Sky sports for the Super League announcement.
The reason for the fixture change is all down to pitch usage
