Regardless of whether you are new or old to this team, please read on(I have sent texts to everyone I could think of, so if I know you, I've probably not got your current number, or you've not replied)[/i

2) If anyone is interested in playing for this team, who hasn't previously, again, please P.M me. In a nutshell it is a tag team made of up Halifax fans that play against other RL teams fan groups. Some RL palying experience is probably useful, though not vital. There is no age limit as such, but I can't think of anyone younger than 17/18 ever playing for us, so we'll use that as a guide for age.

3) All future threads on the CRL team will go on in the 'Halifax Community RL' board (click on board index and its near the bottom in the IMBRL section).

Think you need to check your history there Sammy. I was playing for the orginal IMBRL side at the age of 13/14. Pretty sure Haighy was playing at 16 as well.

I wouldn't mind, but he doesn't even remember his own brother's age haha . I would have been 14/15 at the first ever IMBRL tourney. Bossed it as well may I add

Ok. Bit of a fail by the sounds of it.

We didn't really play any proper games until summer 2003 though, and the game has evolved a lot more in the last few years.

So, my age-fail aside, we'll call the cut-off for now, 17/18.

IMO, it has evolved for the worse since the RFL got hold of it. The friendly we played at Hull in November(?) was played to the older laws, and it was a bloody good game. TBH, it was FUN. The RFL took that away and gave us Mark Wynn from Rochdale.

The RFL took hold of something and made is worse!? Get out of it. I can't see them doing that.
