I couldnt attend yesterdays game as i was on a long shift but i have read most of the posts since we lost and i cant believe that individuals are basically calling for the coach to go. Please get a grip! We have lost one game to a very good and well drilled outfit, regardless of what the ref, Matt Calland, Rhino or anyone else said, did or didnt do. We lost....end of chat!

If you want to judge the team and the coach then at least wait until the end of the season etc. We might well beat Haven on Wednesday and then progress into the next round. I for one will be there on Wednesday cheering the lads on and always will be regardless of what we do or do not achieve. May i suggest that we all stick together and get behind the club. No one can win and perform all the time, thats the beauty of sport. Yesterday was Batley`s day and good luck to them.

I dont think anyone is calling for calland to go. I certainly am not. I think there are questions over the team that was selected but is that not what we do as fans ?. half the threads on this forum is team predictions. The players didn't perform in the first half, that was where the damage was done and that falls at the players feet. There was a lack of Props against a Big Batley Side, Thats what seemed strange to me.

Whatever tactics batley had clearly worked and so well done Karl Harrison.

Not sure ive seen anyone calling for MCs head. To be honest anybody who is going to do that at this point in the season especially after last season really cant be all there. The players and coaching staff should have earnt everbodys respect after how the season finished last season and anyone questioning that needs to give their head a shake. Batley were average yesterday but we made enough mistakes in the first half to nearly hand them the game. I cant even say Batley didnt let us play because most of our errors were unforced. The only thing different in the second half was that we looked fired up and cut out some of the mistakes which nearly saw us snatch the spoils. Hopefully we wont be as lacklustre again because we showed how good we can be in the second half.

I will hold my hands up and admit to calling for calland's head last year. Well MC made me eat my words he took us to be champions. he is not to blame for yesterday

Yesterdays game was unfortunately Lost/spoilt because of poor decisions by players and ref. When A referee is not going to give forward passes, you cant blame batley when they scores tries from them. When a ball strikes gannon on the shoulder (he did not even raise his arms) and goes backwards and into blacky's hands the ref gave a knock on, fair enough but then when a batley player does nearly the same thing but also gets his hands to it and it goes to the floor the ref waves play on, consistancy i think not. The batley try from the kick which blatently was put down on the dead ball line (both touch judges standing back to say they weren't sure about the grounding in the field of play ref ignores and gives try. I am not sure what our players were thinking about when we get a penalty at the end of the first half ( blacky is clearly asking if they should take 2 points but instead go for a try on one play which we had not really managed to do all half.

Callland obviously sorted something out at half time because our attack maybe got into second gear.

In the first half when blacky was pulled into touch and then the batley number 5 started "saying something in his ear whilst pinning him to the floor nothing was done. in the second half the same player i can only say smacked the halifax player in the face instead of tackling him andthe touch judge comes on but the ref does not even speak to the player. This just seemed bizarre he did not seem to want to punish batley only having to when the touch judge came on.

And the whole penky getting sin binned for being headbutted well F### Knows.

I know i am ranting but i promise this is the last bit. Why oh why did we goe for the drop goal so early in the tackle count so close to their line with so long left. Oh yeah and why was the clock not stopped when handforth took an absolute age over that last penalty.

I was very pi##ed off at the end but now looking at the tables we only need a bonus point to go through so no worries there. we can play so much better and will do

Its a bit ironic (and a little bit laughable) that fans of club who's squad includes such renowned and expert wind-up merchants as Barlow, Penkywicz, Gannon and Nash feel they have any room for complaint about other clubs man-handling and sledging their players.

I called for MC to go in the past. But I trust him to get us somewhere near a trophy especially after last year. He maybe needs to think before speaking but dont we all. People are panicing as usual and thinking just bad things. MC has plenty to learn and rather he learned it by us than elsewhere.
As for the Batley rabble they win one trophy for the first time since Adam & Eve and now believe they are so high and mightly. You have a top coach but the players in many cases are average. Batley will never win a GF or the League as they simply are not big enough club with the finances to compete. Batley will get a few shock wins but never enough to win the League or GF. Batley as many of the smaller clubs, see Fax as their Grand Final and will raise their game and it shows. The players at Fax need to wake up and realise that, not MC. MC does not put in such a pathetic effort as the first 40 minutes. The players need to realize there is no easy games and cant just turn up and expect to win.

Nice attempt to turn the tables, but it really doesn't wash. I don't see anyone from Batley getting high and mighty, just laughing at the attempts of your coach and a large number of your supporters to blame a defeat to one of the 'smaller' clubs on the referee. Thats exactly what it is - laughable. For the record, I don't know any Batley fans who see playing Halifax as being our 'GF'. You've been down here with us also-rans for so long now, its just another game against just another club in our league. We might have seen it as a big game back in 2004, but that illusion soon vanished when you escaped relegation to the games bottom tier that season. Hope you've enjoyed sinking to our level from your once lofty height, and despite the childish arrogance repeatedly displayed by a number of people involved with the Halifax club, I'll still enjoy my visits to The Shay in the many, many, many years to come.

If Halifax is our "GF" then I wonder why they don't bring the biggest crowd to mp I think the biggest crowd was widnes and Dewsbury last year so black cat keep dreaming about playing big league and learn how how to play batley and the likes in 2011 onwards
