| Very strange game all round. Really did frustrate me that the Batley players got away with murder, constant head high shots. Anyway a wins a win, lets hope they can carry on this form in Toulouse.

| boring game totally devoid of skill apart from patersons try. at least they got the job done though
15 quid to stand and watch is very expensive to say the least. while i respect the need to bolster our coffers i really wonder how this is gonna help us attract new fans

| To be fair the four major high shots by Batley were reactionary and not intentional. However four is a lot for one game. I'm surprised someone didn't go to the bin in the end. Especially the last two that were in quick succession.
The game on the whole was pretty flat. I was hoping Fax would try and kill the game off but seemed to switch off in defence a few times. Batley really didn't have to work to break our line down for most of their tries.
Hopefully the injuries to Beswick and Goddard are not serious. The lads can have a break in France now and enjoy the trip. Especially since there is nothing to play for until Fev away.

| I'd agree 3 of the 4 were reactionary, but the one on Maloney just before half time seemd more pre-meditated to me.
More furstrating was the speed at which batley were allowed to play the game when defending. When are refs going to make players roll away and not climb all over the attacker when getting up.

| Took a trip down to the Shay today to take in a game. Great atmosphere and a quite entertaining game, although a bit scrappy at times, and Batley just never know when to give up. the pitch was in excellent condition as got a closer look with the alarms going off, and a couple of punch ups thrown in for good measure ! The new stand looks great and looks the part for a super league venue. good day in all !

If the ground was in Widnes or France it would be perfect

| Im affraid its bad news both for Goddard and Beswick, both out for the remainder of the season with serious injuries.Johns got ankle ligament damage and Bobs broken his right ankle and is out for 12 weeks, they are both truly gutted.
Just could i start a thread on wishing the lads a speedy recovery,Goddard has been outstanding the last 6-8 weeks and Beswick will be missed, hes been consistant all season and will miss his work rate in defence.
It will intresting to see who Matt will bring in to replace these two valuable players.

I think we have enough cover to cover these injuries, i fully trust every member of the squad can do a job for the club.
John is always one of my favourate players since he signed cause we all know what he can do, one of the best centres in the league,
Bob has been really consistent all season and we are going to miss his kicking game and his work rate.
we need to win this grand final for those boys now.
as for the selection for the play offs. i would go with somethnig like this.
Royston
White
Pats
Nash
Worrincey
Branno
Black
Ostick
Penky
Wrench
Bannister
Larder
Barlow
Bench
Holroyd
Watene
Bowman
Maloney

| Jonny Campbell - what a girl. Showboating an intercepted try that didn't even give them the lead, rabbit punches in the tackle, squaring up to Nash then running off, not to mention rolling around on the floor like a footballer in the past (not against us). The man does my head in every time I watch Batley play.
