That sounds about right from what I have heard, I think the clubs should go for a scoreboard with it being funded 50/50.

I think £30,000 could be used elsewhere although, as Yob has pointed out, it could be self funding in the long term through sponsorship.

Plus it would have to be for both Town and Fax, doable though if somenody like Briggs Priestley came in with a sponsorship, the clubs put in say £5K each and the fans £5K each.

Haven's Independant Supporters club just raised money for new scoreboard...£10,500 it cost...Plus VAT which club can claim back.

One we have is i think 3.5m x.1.5m...shorter than Leeds's, But higher.
Leeds and Saints have i think 5 meter wide ones that have 20 characters per line (Some wasted characters u'd not use ?)
This one has 12 characters (enough to fit WHITEHAVEN) but has 4 lines..where as teams above only have 2 lines

So you can have on 4 lines
WHITEHAVEN
20
HALIFAX
20

where as Leeds would have
LEEDS RHINOS 20
BRADFORD BULLS 20

all four lines join together to show things like 'TRY !'

Oh that's not too bad then. A decent size and very visible from all areas. Worth a punt?
