Typical RFL reinvent the wheel yet again. A teams, Colts, U21, U18, U21, U20 its had more chnages than I have had Mars bars (my favourite choccy bar)
I think that this comp needs to stay U20 with 3 over age only and never change to make it work.

Where do the players come from ,the younger end of the u21s from last year have either walked away from the game ( due to the way fax treat people} or have joined other clubs.When will the comp start as I presume a squad for u20s has to start training well in advance of any games.Are fax going to approach Karl Fairbanks who has done a great job in the past

I would suggest that they would come from the same place that they always come from.

There will be players ready to make the move up from academy, we will have people who want to come to the club to trial out and we will have our scouts out looking for players.

I might be thinking outside the box here.....but....maybe they will come from the numerous amatuer teams that play in Halifax? Crazy idea but it might just work . Players will always want to try and play at the highest level possible.

Graham Clay has said that he thinks the team will be made up of younger players. Look how we got Anthony Bowman back from Wigan. He could play in the team for the next 4+yrs if needed (not that he will though)

Im sure it will. But as we all know its not something that we expect to happen over night.

Im hoping to see some good local tallent developed through this team.

In response to your question, there are loads of current under 18's in the town's amateur clubs at the moment, surely those who are considered good enough and some who aren't happy at their pro clubs will be given the opportunity to have a go at Halifax.
Siddal, KXP & Elland all ran 18's this last season and all of them have 18's lads who are excelling at open age within the Pennine premier division or division 1. I would have thought that would be a good starting point. Nice to have you back on here posting BTW mate.
