At last we can get back to The Shay this weekend but why oh why do we have a council in Halifax which seems so anti sport? They seem to put every obstacle possible in the way of our two main sport's clubs chances of progress. Sunday's match against Featherstone can go ahead but....No away fans, no drinks allowed, no food allowed, no club shop open immediately before or after the match, masks must be worn at all times even when sat in't stand. What is up with these people? You may say at least we can go and should be thankful. To that I say we've just been to watch Fax at Newcastle. The experience was brilliant. Masks only when walking around, food stalls open, bar open. Visiting fans were welcomed by smiling and very helpful stewards, all in all a great day out and excepting the farce of obtaining tickets the whole day went smoothly. Rant over! Here's hoping for some normality soon. Up The Fax!

After watching some S.L Games on sky some supporters seem very close together many without masks +highlights of wendy ball look similar

I suppose every ground is different and risks are different in every area so things won't be the same everywhere but I can understand the frustration - Kingston Park area has a very low Covid infection rate compared with Halifax. Maybe that's why things are different?

Newcastle do have a great setup though. A well run club.

Well I was told by the club all i need to bring is my bar code print off and I may be asked what my address is.

I mean what good is photo id when your wearing a mask?

Is there a list of addresses that aren’t allowed in? Who’s to say that you’re not a home fan if you haven’t got a HX postcode?

These are the instructions on the e bar code ticket and also confirmed by telephone to the club this morning.

Quote: "Please bring these tickets with you to the event. Personal details such as your address may be used for verification on entry." End.

I presume the answer may likely be because I have season tickets the club will have my personal details on record from when I purchased them.

My name is also on the e ticket for Sundays game so a simple check would be to ask me for verbal confirmation of my address against the name on the ticket as cross reference.

Upon toilet breaks, masks worn whilst wandering.
