Saw Toulouse play Keighley last weekend in the CC.

They do not look as strong as in previous years, even though it is early in the season.

Their standout player was the number 7, very lively player but he went off injured in the 2nd half so may not feature. This is not Nathan Wynn this year.

We have a very lightweight set of forwards out. no Watene or Azuie. Cherryholme was ineffective going forward against Cas LL & S.Barlow has been poor last 2 games. Gannon to lead the way hopefully. Depends how strong the Toulouse pack is.

If they ain't fired up for this, Toulouse will sneak it.

agree with Jeff above, we'v e struggled so far this year when the big lads haven't played. French on home turf so would expect them to throw some weight at us, if we can hold out early on then I think we may take by a handful, but if we play like first half against Batley then we're stuffed.

The pattern of games for TO against Dewsbury and Widnes was high scoring. In both games TO were capable of driving home a deep advantage, but always let the oponents back into the game. French flair and inconsistency, coupled with dogged structure and resilience in my opinion.

TO's loss to Keighly and the blunted London Skolars win are further signs of that. Those games were 50% below ability for TO and they went to sleep before they turned up. Anything can happen - but i expect it to settle on the consistency of Halifax. 42 - 22 to Halifax . TO should allow more innovative flexibilty with some key players around that structure - that would be interesting to watch as they have ability.

I hear that it is throwing down in Toulouse today..

We are not much of a wet weather team so any win in bad conditions I would take!!

We do seem to be going into games without our big lads this season. Clearly this is tactical, not sure why though. Certainly cost us the game against Batley and almost did at Swinton. The pack overall is miles better so don't really get what the thinking is to play lightweigh on heavy grounds
