so do i, he is only a young lad, he will make a very good forward, just needs to learn not to go down so early in the tackle, but the lad puts loads of graft in down the middle, were people dont notice

Really pleased for Neil. He has had a bit of stick this season and i hold my hand up for some of it but he is very much a working progress and i feel he deserves his chance to continue his development. Big strong lad who just needs to get the legs pumping a bit when taking the ball up also very underrated in defence IMO.

only seems to be noticed when makes mistakes, e.g unload of ball and high tackle in final and push on panky in semi. but does get through lots of other work.

he definitely needs to toughen up, big lad like that shouldnt be going to ground as easily as he did at the start of the season, get him on the raw steaks. come on Neil, fire in that belly, make a real go of this chance.

He does need to improve going forward, but he has time on his side. Defensively he is very solid, as shown against Featherstone in the Play Offs. He certainly deserves another 12 months (IMO) and hopefully will improve as the coaching team predict.

Glad he has resigned, he is still learning and with the new additions he will get even better.

He has done well, coming in and out of the team all season - I am sure that with some seasoned pro's around him he can gain the extra confidence to bust defences next year - workrate in defence is already top notch - well done Neil.

I expected to open this thread and find lots of negative comments so a pleasant surprise so far.

Don't think anyone reckons he is the finished article but he has plenty to offer and a good engine wiith age on his side

Personally I thought Matt was right to pick him ahead of Frank in the GF. Defensively we are better when he is on the field.

By this time next year all traces of ever having been a Bull with have been removed. We can rebuild him!

Don't they say that props don't mature until late 20's, early 30's? Time on his side. Plus another big factor about signing him up is that we are keeping as much continuity to the team as possible.

He can only improve with the likes of Aizue and Gene by his side, I'm glad, giving youth a chance and as previously said, Props get to their prime in their late 20s, Cherryholme is 21/22.

Great news as he his only young and will learn from Azuie and Gene. Would have been a nightmare to let him go and see him reach his potentiol else where

We have yet to see the best from young Cherryholme he will get better.
