Anyone going by train on Sunday?

There will be 3 of us going in the morning, cannot wait now!!

yes im going on the 9.17 train, i hope theres enough room or some of us will be going on a later train

I am not sure, spoke to someone last night and there are 37 of them catching this train. I know at least another 10 that have said they are catching this train as well. I think it is a popular choice for people with kids like myself who are getting the first train and then heading for blackpool pleasure beach.

and theres 10 of us getting the same train, so be there early

Give Northern Rail a ring for assurances they will have extra carriages. The biggest problem will be coming back

not coming back until monday, but i think its worth giving them a call

From Fax to Blackpool

Dep 09.16 – arr 10.53
Dep 10.07 – arr 11.40
Dep 11.07 – arr 12.39 and so on ......

From Blackpool to Fax

Dep 19.13 – arr 20.45 – maybe a bit tight after watching the celebrations
Dep 20.11 – arr 21.45
Dep 21.13 – arr 22.45 ** LAST ONE ** ** not to celebrating Fax Fans **

A bit of further information the Blackpool service is always busy with day trippers etc and the service is made up usually of 2 or 3 car units. As nice a thought as it is I do not think it is quite as easy as ringing Northern and asking them to bung a couple of extra cars on – but it is nice thought !!!!!

The service is limited stop so anyone travelling from Sowerby Bridge or Mytholmroyd will have to get connecting services to Halifax or Hebden Bridge. For anyone going from Brighouse like me the first one leaves at 09.36 to arrive at Halifax for 09.46. The last one leaves Halifax at 22.42.

I will see anyone who is going by train on the 10.07 for what will hopefully be a fun packed great day. I know I do not need to mention it to the people of Halifax but the train staff are in constant contact with the BTP so please behave and remember regardless of the result we are representing our Great Club !!!!!!!

Forgot to add on my previous post that the person who is in the party of 37 said that he had contacted Northern Rail and they were going to have emergency trains at Halifax as they have anticipated there may be an overflow.

i think there going to be needing these 'emergency trains'

does anyone think the 10 07 train will be full?

what about the return trip?

Emergency Train ????

I have checked the timetables and as it stands today ie right now there are no extras either to or from Blackpool.

Thinking about the logistics I am right to believe that there is going to be an extra one parked up at Halifax with a driver and guard ready to spring into action - I think not - plus the only space to accomadate it at Halifax is in the siding next to Eureka and this is already used on sundays to make the extra services to and from Hudds etc .....

On the plus side at least our town is big enough to have a station - unlike our final opponents .....

Hopefully if the trains are rammed going Northern will have sense to put additonal units on for the return - its not so much gettin there more getting home that worries me as as you will see from my earlier post the options to get back maybe limited to three trains at best unless we want to go via Manchester which will take forever.
