.... Many of is were destroyed after that Leigh game knowing we should've won and won easy. It's difficult to see past Leigh finishing top of the pile now in my opinion. Nothing was between us in ours games vs Leigh and Fev this year, we blew it twice IMO.

So that leaves 2nd place. We have proven already good enough to beat the likes of Fev and Leigh and I believe that home game vs Fev later in the year is the biggest game Fax as a club will have had for an awful long time!

We simply NEED to win that game and by more than 12.

I do still believe in this team and I hope the fans get down the shay and show their support!

Good post and well said although I don't believe top spot has gone just yet. Having said that I would take 2nd and the brass that goes with it now.

With a much tighter competition this year where teams will take points off each other throughout the season,we just have to keep winning and let the league table look after itself. Leigh look class to me and it will take a very good side to beat them. I agree with Teddy re Fev game and to be honest we are due a home win against them(plus a bigger crowd with it not being moved to be on TV)

Im still trying to work out how we proved we could beat Leigh and Fev by losing to them.............

I think Leigh will still slip up and get drawn back in to the pack. The big thing for me is we have to make sure we win all possible banana skin games and then sneak a win against either Fev or Leigh and I think that would be good enough to get us second.

We had them both beat and bombed it in both games. Not difficult to work out if your watched both the games. Composure is the word, Karl needs to work on that and put belief back into the minds of our squad.

We have IMO proven we can compete and beat both these teams on our day.

And whilst we had both teams beaten at some stage in each game we managed to totally bomb both games due to what must be said was pretty gross incompetence.
I do believe that we have a good squad but it looks to be short of fitness to close out a match as well as composure, there is still time for us to got one of the top two positions if we play like we did against Donny. That result was well worked and they keep showing that they are nobody's dummies.
Time to ramp it up and kick on.

We proved we can compete yes, did we prove we can beat them? No. I think both those teams proved their metal in coming back from what looked like near impossible positions and winning games that other teams couldnt win.

Deep down ask yourself could our team come back from the position that those two teams found themselves in and win games?

I think we can get in the top 2 and Leigh will lose a game or two they are not invincible, they have only played us so far of the top teams, lets see how they get on tomorrow and if they win how a CC game probably against a SL team then a postponed league game midweek will stretch them.

....and we have played Leigh, Sheffield, Doncaster and Fev winning 2 out of 4. There's still a long way to go.

Next round of cup is 8th June so would have direct effect on us as we are due at LSV on that day.

so maybe a leigh win and us go there a few days later would benefit us.
