Being reading this board for a long time but never registered but finally decided to. I know we have a massive game next week but just wondering what everyones opinions are on our chances next season with our top players seemingly set to leave. Royston gone,patterson off to widnes,few older players retiring etc.Just hope that were not needing to win next week just to have any chance of keeping/getting the better players. Cant wait for sunday though

Paterson and Branighan are both Widnes bound if you believe the voices, im sure your getting on with your own recruitment though.

not sure about branighan but patterson is.Im not one to start rumours just good mates with a Fax player.Just hope they are all focused on the grand final next week and then good luck to them whatever they move on to

Its no secret the club has had a disastrous season finance wise

- no pre-season income
- Link Telecom
- Ostick scandal
- Early NRC exit

We will lose some great players and replace with good players, I am not expecting a GF in 2011 as the books will need to be balanced.

As I have posted before Fev game, Fax fans need to savour Sunday as it could be a while before we see so many class players in a fax shirt.

Nobody on here knows what is going on behind the scenes yes we have lost money this year but things could be happening that we do not know about. Martin Hall is back anyway.

Pretty sure that most people have heard this and that but cant we just leave it until next week and not put a downer on our GF preparations. Its bad enough that Shad has gone so lets just focus on Sunday please boys and girls!

Its no secret that the board have been slow offering players contracts for next season. We have one of the best players in the league that wants to stay at the club and has been on at the board for a new contract for ages, so far zip. Unfortunatley the money just isnt there. It dosnt help when the board plan on attendances that were never going to happen. Still the GF may be our saving grace.

Really? Is gossip a substitute for a naff season on the pitch? Class players and grand finals make me tick - Halifax have come up trumps again this year in that department.

Rumours are coming up about our players leaving which are actually coming true but im not hearing any rumours about players possibly joining us. Maybe that is because until after the grand final next week then we dont know what our budget is going to be and like has already been said we will need to balance the books abit. Hopefully we win sunday and can get key players signed up and back them up with some quality signings from elsewhere so we have another good season next year
