Well we’re not advertising on TV or debating the value of advertising in general just the means of doing it and in context would a poster work for you then Tony?
Do you know of anyone that it has done?
Would a poster bring the price of admission down or motivate someone to spend the current asking price of £25 on something they either have lost or have no interest in on a freezing Saturday for a game there expecting odds on to lose likely by a significant amount?
By the way the club have done this in the past and it made no difference to attendances but If someone thinks that a few posters / flyers would make any difference for this game above and beyond the other platforms that the club have used such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, then that’s up to them and is one thing and is nothing more than an opinion based on nothing more than that!
But when their great idea isn’t taken up it’s another thing for those people to use it as an angle to belittle what the club have done and somehow connect that to the major issues affecting the entire game shows very little awareness of the reality never mind awareness of brand.
The reality is the game as a whole is on it’s ar%e, the club just like the rest are caught up in it all with their own set of individual issues involving the ground, tax of a dormant company from years ago etc etc etc, there simply aren’t any quick fixes for the club or for the game as a whole.
For a fact the 2 remaining directors have personally given up their health and their wealth (to the sum of hundreds of grand) (and serious illnesses) affecting their lives and their wives and larger families.
For months they have been battling the huge challenges that we know something of and trying to keep the club afloat, at the same time and currently their working hard behind the scenes on trying to get new ownership in that can really take the club forward so please forgive them for having other things on their minds and not using a few posters / flyers and take that into account when talking about awareness.[/quote:26gb6tgs]
Today's game isn't even advertised on the boards around The Shay. The Barrow game in two weeks time is. That is just downright amateurish.
Frustrating thing was that if Hanson takes that pass clean then he goes the length of the field and puts us in front with about 15 minutes to go and in the position where a shock could have been a real possibility. The ref missing that Catalans knock hurt as well but who would have thought a 0-0 half time score and that sort of showing. Kyle Eastmond must be delighted with that.
To add to that we were really quite impressive in poor ball situations and made a lot of yards against such a good team has to be a good sign for the championship season.

Aye, it would have been interesting to see if Hansen could have gone the length although Charlie Graham would have been up in support, unlucky.
That was a cracking performance from the lads full of desire and commitment. We put some nice moves on in attack too which we just couldn't nail a couple of moments from Hanson when he just cant reel in the intercept and he makes a break and kicks the ball away instead of taking the tackle close but no cigar. The ref missed a knock on by them when we was attacking there line which at that stage of the game we really could of done with. All in all that should give us plenty to look forward to for the season ahead roll on Sheffield.
Apparently a loose flyer blew into Hanson’s face as he made the break otherwise it could have been game on.[/quote:2hem1x1g]
It can't have been as I doubt he would have noticed it.
