| I get what you are saying Hudds but our club, or any club in the Championship, is in a position to change what happens with DR. You can argue they could all stop using it but the fact is that clubs can save money and improve the quality of their teams by using it.
"What our BOD are thinking is beyond me" - At the moment I imagine they are thinking we need to survive in this division at all costs, if we go down I imagine we go belly up its really that simple. Also in my opinion we have used DR pretty well and Leeds have given is some good players. Yeah its not ideal but again with the team we had and the injuries we have had we were pretty much nailed on for relegation. We are working out of that mess at the moment which is what we all want and it don't really matter how we do it if it gives the club a chance of survival.
With regards to the tournament I think originally set up where it were for lads who were not associated with any SL clubs. With the hush hush surrounding that the reality is that Fax will not have a chance of signing those majority of lads first time round and will get more chance when they are released by SL acadamies. As we have seen recently with our "project" players, we really do not have a set up that can afford to carry more than 1 or 2 unproven players. There maybe that opportunity through the college but unless we have a reserves set up(which we can't afford), as much as this looks good its hard to say what the longterm result is going to be.
As for the game with Haven I think we will win this one comfortably although if Maizen plays he will be out to prove a point to Finn after he refused the opportunity to bring him back recently.

| Crookes back in the squad- while I'll be surprised if he plays this week great to see him back as his return would massively strengthen whats consistently been our weakest part of the team all year

| Without being totally convinced based on our season so far but just starting to feel we are slowly turning the corner I’m going for Fax to start the game with 110% commitment from the whistle and have the energy to stay in the game to the whistle and have the attack to rack up a decent score and get the points.

| What a strange game. That first 30 minutes was abysmal and for all the world we looked like a team that had given up. The try before half time gave us a glimmer of hope and then we came out and blew 'haven away with some great trys. Once again Joe Keyes orchestrated the play but also a special mention to Charlie Graham who is proving a real asset to the team. Up The Fax!

| Another Groundhog Day game that like many others before had moments of head shaking here we go again and attacking speed and brilliance in equal measures.
2 crucial points on the table at the end of the day but with an attendance of just 911 given so not sure how much that game will have cost the club.

| I think that game summed up where we are as a side right now. Some very poor and passive defense in the first half, and the turning point for me was when Whitehaven 14-0 up put a early kick in behind McComb who slipped they had 3 men waiting for the ball to kick up but it never did and went into touch if they score there they go 20-0 up and for me game over. Thankfully from that point on we scored a cracking try just before the break and then ran away with the second half. Maizen did us a favour by dropping 2 high kicks which lead to scores and the rest of the scores came from some good line running and support play. We next face the Eagles who gave us a good hiding on our own patch so i would take any win from Friday's game. I could see them racing into a 30 point halftime lead and then we comeback to 30-28 with 10 to go before they seal the win with 2 late intercept scores to win 40-28.
