Might have had something to do with Durgs being in charge of a financial advisors/wealth management company. Not a good look to be involved with another struggling business, and maybe even puts that at risk? My understanding is that Steve always planned to step down at some point and it seemed a natural point to do it, not just a bolt out of the blue
