What is the ultimate goal of the RFL? They seem to see clubs as their bitter enemies that need to be punished. The game of Rugby League is dying due to an outright attack by the RFL and it's disciplinary commitee against clubs, players and fans.

It's inevitable Fax won't be able to play their game through fear of a fine and ban in the post for any possible incursion

As Graeme Taylor ( gwazes agent ) said ultimately it’s all down to subjective opinion, there’s loads of instances that if you examined after the game you could make a case for . I’m interested to see what happens when they review the fax vs Batley game ( given they can now take retrospective action in a match review) even if it hasn’t been penalised at the time ., when Campbell strikes jouffret with an open hand several times jouffret goes down , in the ensuing melee Dane manning drags jouffret out of the way by his shirt after being struck and using the rfls terminology’ potentially injured’ . I think my example is extreme and doesn’t warrant any further action however it’ll be interesting to see if the rfl pick up on it . They even admit in the programme they don’t have a specific grade for lifting an injured player and to some extent making it up as they go along .

Aye, the rfl have created a rod for their own back with these selective sanctions. If only they used common sense instead eh?

With just a couple of games for Gee and whatever is left for Titus my message to the rest of the team would be unless you want your season to end early keep your heads and keep it clean because you know what can easily happen if you don’t.
Sheffield and Aston senior clearly haven’t forgotten the early game at the Shay and will be looking to get at the Fax players particularly Ed Barber so he needs to be able to smile at them and walk away when it starts otherwise he could easily be walking off end of season end of career.

All of you make excellent points (pints for Hudd shay). They will create a specific ruling for moving a injured player for next season and I bet it will carry a more harsh punishment than contrary behaviour. I think they will give it 8-10 match ban to try and stamp it out.
As for the Officials protection of players ? Fax car is spot on. Yes refs miss things but that is why we have officials running the line but 99.9 % are bloody usless and only use their flag if a ball goes out into touch. I would argue that they are more important than the ref because the should be watching for all the niggling little things that go on or a late hit or a sly head but or a player constantly having a go at another payer …… I could go on. But as we know they don’t. The Workington incident is a fantastic example of an official not doing what they are paid to do and the resulting effect. He told the ref about the head but, if he saw it and flagged it up there would have been no fight but he didn’t. And so it goes on. The lads have to be restrained for the rest of the season and not let other teams get under their skin.
