Now they are all retained they have a clean slate and my full backing,so not naming.Suffice to say that we keep players consistantly whose level of performance dips year on year,but if the coach feels they are the best options available...

When you look at our forwards difficult to be too critical of any one individual - they all consistently play to their strengths - they are generally strong defensively and rarely make mistakes - qualities which Grix obviously, and understandably values. The problem for me is that they are all too alike so that especially when you look at our bench we rarely have a forward who offers something different that might change a game, but just a fresher version of the player coming off. Tangata in his pomp used to offer this but less so now - don't know enough about Matty Gee if he's actually coming to know whether he's the answer - the rumours about the quality of the backs coming in aee very promising - really hope that even if smaller numbers the forward additions are the same quality.

Elliott Morris staying as well which is great news. Consistantly one of our best players and were lots of rumours of him leaving so for him to stay is a massive bonus.

On Robinson if he goes Grix will say something like it didn't work out for him as early on he struggled for form and then got injured for a lengthy period.
On Elliot, well pleased he's staying, he's past wearing the Learner Plate stage and next year will be a big one for him to press on.

Elliot Morris is a great resigning. For me he has stepped up alongside of JF as one of the first names on the team sheet. Whether he starts the game or comes on after twenty minutes probably depends on the opposition and Simons tactics but either way a very encouraging piece of news. Up The Fax!
