^Well at last supporters back at the Shay. It might not be our normal match day experience but it was still good to be back and a great job by all at the Club in putting the game on under Covid restrictions.
As for the game of course we were disappointed . It was very similar to previous home games with Featherstone where we give them a lead and despite a great effort just fall short. All 3 tries they scored followed from our own disappointment,The disallowed try from James Woodburn-Hall,the certain try just after half time only for Craig Hall to intercept and go full length and James again adjudged to have been tackled over the line. It was frustrating and penalties were given away. What a great back track tackle from Sam Heweitt to stop a certain 4th try and got the Hitman award with Brandon Moore picking up the MOM award.
Looking forward already to next Sundays game against Sheffield with a 12.45pm KO.
In Club 1873 we have now reached 137 compared to 139 last season. A great effort in these challenging times. Still time to make a member as the first draws are planned to take place when we play York.
Thank you again for your continued support.
