RCS needs to be blooded, also Mcgrath. Sharp has maybe a season left in him. I think there have been a few in the reserves the last couple of years that have never poked their nose through to the first team, despite the anticipation they would ; Kian Morgan (Is he even still here?) Oliver Waite? No love in with London and I realise that a full- time environment does have a significant impact on their success (but wasn't immediate) but last year and even this year in Super League, the vast majority of their team was built from within, locally (Walker, Davies, Hindmarsh, Lovell, Adibyi, Dixon) with a 1 or 2 quality players (Sammut) and a few cast offs (Williams, Kear, Battye).

With Newcastle coming up next year it seems, they also have a strong development system and with a bit of money behind them and seemingly a decent following at home, could 'do' a London also. We need to be astute and build 'forward'. We can't compete on the capital side (Leigh, Toronto, Toulouse) but we do have leverage when it comes in having a solid core of skilful youngsters locally to build around.

Regarding the playing staff this weeks RL Press has the following report / quotes from Simon Grix.

Yes it does seem to suggest there is some of that involved.

All those who give of their time to get contributions in do so because they love the club and know nothing is guaranteed as to how things will turn out regarding the players they make it possible to bring in so will just carry on.

I contribute as often and as much as I can and after having done so you just have to go with the decisions the club makes trusting that they are in a better position than me to make them.

Fax wanted Tangata to return to the club and supported him when no one else was doing so, on his side he really needs to make his mind up where he wants to be, either way life goes and both parties will no doubt cope with it.
