That is very disappointing to read if he is off to Saints. Not for the player of course and I would never stand in anybody's way if they are trying to better themselves, both Professionally and in Sport. However, as a club we have to start to show some ambition on the field and sell ourselves as a club to be at least in with a chance of keeping the likes of Moore and Butler etc.These are players I would push the boat out to keep and build a side around them for the next 10 years etc. I understand money talks and if true Saints is great move for him but where does it stop? We are trying to build things off the pitch but we are still in the entertainments industry and need to retain and recruit some class in our current side-not lose it.

Unfortunately not a lot of good quality hookers about. Brandon happens to be one of them outside of Superleague. Roby not getting any younger. We do have Davies (cant remember which one) coming through who can hopefully fill the void. The reality is the best championship players will get picked off by Superleague .

Didn't rate Sam Wood in any of his appearances for us so certainly in no way a loss but we do seem insanely quiet at the minute.

Did we actually think we'd get further than we have done and if so has that meant we delayed sorting out contracts?? Just trying to find any reason to not announce re-signings as an absolute bear minimum

Correct about Sam, hasn't stood out at all. We've had a few that have appeared with big expectations and disappeared with a whimper. I trust that behind the scenes somebody knows what they are doing. Up The Fax!

Yes there is a gap in the news from the club currently. MM has effectively gone so it's up to others to step up to the plate please. At least with what the clubs aims are close season. If Brandon Moore has gone it's a loss on the playing side but credit to him. It's obvious he was at a physical level of fitness way above the majority of the team and it takes hard work to achieve that.You get out of your work life what you put in has always been my motto.

To put in to context, Brad Dwyer is probably a class above Moore and hasn't been a regular at Leeds so do we see Morre going to Saints? Any SL move would be great for the lad and well deserved though although from what I heard it was pretty much a done deal for him to be here next season. Im really not sure how we would go about replacing someone like that.

On Sam Wood Im really surprised we did not take a punt on him, he's a big talented yound lad who's only down side similar to JWH is that he has not really found his position. Personally given we probably need at least one centre I thought it might be him which does suggest that either JWH may actually get a shot at that position or we have someone we judge as better lined up. Harping back to Marshall's comments it does now suggest he sees the problems and is looking to do something about them.

In my opinion Wood, who came with a bit of a reputation, was no better than we already have and we need to spend to improve not stand still.
I am sure signings will be announced in due course. Build the interest and sell season tickets may be the game the board are playing.

The players who are here all say they love it at the Shay. Just to hear Ben Heaton saying how well he has been looked after shows that. The improved match day atmosphere must help with that too.
Finding some talent wont be easy but i am sure RM and everyone have been searching.

Given that the clubs finances are still unclear for next year, that the new board have to settle in and they need to workout how to cover all the work done by MM I think they have their hands full on the non player area.

I was pleasantly surprised that the excellent new shirt was announced so quickly, which perhaps indicates things are moving forward.

New players will depend on budgets and if the new board have contacts and can get deals done, so I’m not anticipating much happening until Richard gets back from his post season holiday.
