The trouble is, with all the negative publicity surrounding the game, people are very disillusioned with RL and can find plenty of other things to spend their hard earned brass on. To think of selling out a 28,000 capacity football ground for two games between four clubs is an achievement tells you where we are at as a sport. Fax are a perfect example. Personally, I think the future is something like a prepaid credit card. You charge it up with, say £100, maybe adds on £10 or summat as a bonus, then you use it to buy tickets. Bit like an Oyster card on London Transport.

However, technologically, we're a fair bit away from that at the moment. But we are approaching the cashless society. I saw somebody buy a pint of milk using a contactless card a couple of weeks ago. 52p - the supermarket probably got charged 25p or summat for that so that's their profit gone.
