Great result yesterday. Thanks to the Leythers, especially Derek for hanging on to Jukes for just long enough, your current setup came so close to the top 4 and have been going well since we hammered you.

Onward for the rest of the season, a couple of wins would be nice this time round rather than everybody saying how well we played but just missed out on the win.

Without doubt the most competitive Championship comp this season. 6 top teams battling it out all season and ultimately 5 teams for 3 places at the back end of the season.
Roller coaster ride right up to the last round which has made for a much better product to watch etc.
This is the best achievement getting to the middle 8's we have done on such a low budget compared to others and more full time teams etc.
Need to kick on now and not just make up the numbers in the 8's. Use this as a springboard to build for the future etc.
Feeling rough but happy this morning

Great post LTD. Whilst not being happy that Fax consider making the top four in the 2nd division a success, it is what it is and we are where we are. That said what the club have achieved this season is tremendous and goes beyond what we could have reasonably expected at the beginning of the campaign. The next step is to pick up two or three wins in the eights and as you say, use it as a springboard towards bigger and better things in the future. A big well done to all involved at our club, it's been a great season so far. Let's go on and make it even better.Up The Fax!

Still feeling rough at this time. We celebrated well yesterday!

Tony, if we had lost our place in the top 4 'suddenly' on points difference yesterday, then I wouldn't have been congratulating anybody on Sunday.
But as this happened last weekend barring a miracle or 3, I was pretty 'chilled out' about it all.
As a part time side, you deserve my genuine congratulations.

Good to see we have the whinging whinos down the Shay, but don't get too excited about having a massive crowd. The "reigning SL champions" fans are somewhat fickle, and barely 2 and a half grand attended Salford - v Whinos last Friday. Hardly any whino fans attended the TV match at Wigan, and remember the sub 2 grand attendance at Widnes in the CC. So get braced for a less than half empty North Stand for their visit, probably less than what Fev bring! But hopefully the Fax fans will turn out in numbers!
