| Dewsbury had a 'clear the air meeting' between coach and players this week and their new found spirit and teamwork surprised Fax in the first half. These things happen but I still cannot help but think that too many Fax players were coasting and need a good kick up the backside! It may be against Marshall's principles, but it is time he did so. He has shown loyalty with some players which has not been repaid.

| Playing devils advocate here but that could be just what we needed going in to next weeks game. Although a draw is a poor result against a very poor team it will have no bearing on where we finish at the end of the season because of our points difference so if anything it stops us having to worry about going in to games having to rack up points, now we simply need to win. So a draw going in to next week could give us the kick up the backside that we may need.
I still can't work out how we manage to make so many basic errors though, it has to be a problem in the game at junior level when semi pro players can not get the basics right and a coach at this level really should not have to worry about having to coach players how to pass and catch. I said at the start of the season we need a hooker who can deliver the ball and still stand by that, too many times out attack is stifled by poor ball from dummy half from both our hookers. Our pack at times looks to lack a little bit of punch and Tangata could improve it in that respect but lets hope rumours about him not having a visa are not true as word is that he has been fit to play for a couple of weeks now and not giving him a run out yesterday makes no sense at all.
Obviously money will be a massive problem next season if we miss the top 4 and a loss next week would make it easier to plan for next year as top 4 would be unlikely but we really need to get QLT signed up for next season as he is head and shoulders above the rest of our players. If it means sacrificing a few big earners then so be it as theres a few of them that seem to be coasting at the minute anyway.
Looking at Fev after the first time we played I said that Ridyard was the difference between the teams and it sounds like he could be missing which would be a big boost for us as he is a class act so as long as we don't lose the game in the first 10 minutes then we should at least be able to compete with them.

| Poor game all round yesterday. Not sure why they did not get a red a card for a blatant punch to the head though.
We should of ad green back in the team adds some power up front and he is still not in the cas squad

| QLT looked class yesterday - unfortunately our half backs were playing behind an under-performing pack - poor and indisciplined. Disappointed but glad to have scratched a draw - hope next week sees a massive improvement.

| Another Fax roller coaster ride yesterday. That first half was very similar to the first half at Rochdale ealrier in the season. This time we just couldn't quite nick it. Thought we were out enthused at times yesterday-which is unusual for the side. Credit to Dewsbury who came with a clear game plan to frustrate us. Our core skills are poor at times and we seem to think we have to score off every play. Need to work on kick off exit sets, after we have just scored, as we no sooner get points on the board than we fluff our lines and give the opposition immediate attacking option.(TCUP-think clearly under pressure.) Just have to regroup and get behind the team again next week and hope to goodness we are switched on in first 10- 15 mins to give ourselves a chance.Keep the faith.

And Connor Farrell broke his leg..but we have to turn up.switched on from the first minute,as we aren't good enough to beat anyone in this league, unless we are fully focused...

Correct. We've had a few slow starts this season and it is something that needs sorting out. Thinking back on yesterday the points difference as has been said makes the dropped point almost irrelevant. We can't afford many more slips though. The Commercial Inn, Sowerby Bridge.Ilkley Mary Jane 3.9% Mmm!

| I just hope that the message from fans ref Qlt has got through to coaching staff. I don't go watch rugby to see forwards bashing into each other all day . I do go to see runners with the skill of Qlt . He scores try's . That's what any successful team needs.

| Murrell off the pace on Sunday. Niggler Knowles, along with Sykes, and fantastic game management secured Dewsbury a point. A good kick up the backside for Fax before we blow Fev away by +40 next week
